Studio Stairs

This guy "Mark" took my deposit, wasted 2 months saying he was making the stairs and then disappeared completely. His real name is Reuven. For anyone else who this happened to, please reach out to me if you find him.

Hired Mark not his real name, he made excuses, said he had a heart attack. Had a website, ig, billing software, business, created 3d drawings, all looked legit. He's not returning calls, disappeared.

The owner mark came by in June gave me a qoute asked for a 12k deposit and was supposed to install my stairs in Aug never came then I couldn't get ahold of him for weeks and finally he answers and said that he would have my stairs done in the middle of October and now again he has been avoiding my calls and emails again.. please do not give this guy any money

Simply put, came in quoted the job, took a deposit and failed to show up, communicate delay and is now not responding to requests to return deposit. Would love to give them the benefit of the doubt, but must say with no services rendered and no communication - buyer beware to others.

Ordered stairs and railings through Mark the owner. Was promised a shop drawing as my design changed and wanted to ensure they were building per new design - drawing never came. Stairs were delivered with no warning, installers were very unprofessional and stairs installed Were defective. I asked for my deposit to be returned for the railings/glass. Mark refused. Chased him around and even offered to pay to have them fixed - gave him money for this, he took it and disappeared never to be seen again - and he kept my initial deposit for glass panels. He would communicate excuses month after month but I need to move in so I am out thousands of dollars with defective stairs that I have to pay someone else to fix. Be warned about this company.

Knowledgable, punctual and great service. Studio Stairs team did a great job on my project in Oakville. Stairs look great and are the Center piece of the house. Would highly recommended and would definitely use them again!

We hired studio stairs to supply the staircase for a new home. At first they were helpful and accommodating, always promising the best and being prompt. However, because this is new construction, the stairs were covered up for several months as other work was going on. As soon as the covers came off the stairs, so did the thin veneer of quality.

The product came from the shop with damage, including prominent saw marks. The repairs done - including multiple visits - were incomplete and in some cases made things worse. The owner, "Mark" (which is not his real name), was unreliable in getting a solution. I always got the run around, always getting promises that were then broken. None of the sub-trades seem to work directly for the company, despite the owner's promises to the contrary. In fact, over the many months of interaction with the owner, I got the distinct impression I was being told whatever would appease me for the next few days, whether true or not.

Eventually I gave up. Now I'm left with a sub-standard product that is hard to repair, and no accountability for the poor workmanship.

Would not recommend. This is the sort of company that damages the reputation of the construction industry.
