Mister Martin Renos

We were told ordering cabinetry, floors and countertops were part of the “service”. They would not provide the receipts for these items which means we have no warranty for the cabinets, quartz and floor.
Had to reach out to someone else to fix sink that was installed as facet was not connected.
I would advise not paying in full as after we did they refused to get back to us. We sent multiple messages as we have never left a negative review, but after 5 attempts we realized this company was not going to honour the commitments it made.

From March through July 2021, Mister Martin Renos has been our contractor for a major home renovation that involved remodeling the entire main floor of our home. We found them through our search on Home Stars. Included in this project was the removal of a load-bearing wall, installation of a 22’ LVL beam, and completely new kitchen, powder room, walk-in pantry, laundry room and mudroom with in-floor heat. Several trades were called in throughout the course of the project, including gas fitting, electrical, plumbing and painting. We have been very pleased and satisfied with the work done as this project concludes.

Working with them on timelines, ordering, scheduling, and design has been a positive experience. They are very responsive, happy to answer questions and helpful when it comes to decision-making. During our project, the COVID-19 pandemic made the cost of raw materials a challenge as it did for everyone. They went above and beyond to get the best possible prices for us and to get materials delivered as soon as possible to avoid delays in timelines. When changes in design or materials were requested, they were very understanding and helped to coordinate these changes seamlessly.

Working with them on the contracting side of things has been a pleasure. They have been helpful in explaining next steps, answering questions, and clarifying decisions as the project progressed. The work site was always cleaned up and tidied beyond our expectations daily. It is very apparent in their work that they pay close attention to detail and take pride in their work. Where we have had questions or requests to adjust or go over something again, they have been very responsive and happy to help.

Our main floor remodel is gorgeous, and we could not be happier. It shows quality workmanship and was done at a very reasonable cost for the scale and magnitude of the project. Should we need any work done in future, we will be coming back to Mister Martin Renovations.

Adam and his team did a wonderful job on the main floor of our home. The renos they did included: removing half-walls, installing pot lights, installing hardwood, painting, installing molding/trim, building a closet, and a stone accent wall.

The workmanship was very good and we are really happy with the way everything looks.

Adam and his crew were wonderful to work with, all very professional and respectful. The bathroom turned out great, the challenge was the home is 100 years old and has shifted, Adam and the crew did a wonderful job. We will continue to hire Mr.Martins Renovations for all our home renovations !!

We hired this company to do a major interior renovation project ($150,000+). We would not recommend them. They were fine for simple tasks like putting together Ikea cabinets, but were grossly ill-equipped to deal with the complexities of a larger project like ours.

We went with this company because their quote came in lower than others and they had a high rating on HomeStars. We ended spending significantly more to repair the deficient work and damage caused. There are too many to list, but here are a few examples:

• faulty plumbing resulting in significant water damage and two separate insurance claims
• poor planning, resulting in door frames cut off, unusual vent locations, uneven walls, etc.
• damage to our plumbing and septic system caused by contractors pouring mortar down the drain
• damage to our hot water tank caused by construction debris clogging the vent
• warped wood floors caused by contractors working with doors open in the middle of winter
• damage to our appliances which were left outdoors by the contractors during construction, exposed to the elements
• faulty installation of a floating vanity cabinet with no support bracket, resulting in the cabinet ripping off the wall and landing on another contractor
• failing to install air vents or cold air returns in the bedrooms
• failing to secure the oven
• forgetting to secure the dishwasher before the countertop was installed, making it impossible to secure afterwards
• poorly planned plumbing locates resulting in no storage space (because the cabinets were filled with excess plumbing)
• failing to install a sub-floor (even though we paid for it) resulting in an uneven, buckling floor, loose tiles and grout

Our project was estimated for 9-weeks. It ended up taking over 5 months. The contractor was largely unresponsive after we paid them. A year and a half later, we are still uncovering faulty work and covered up mistakes.

By far one of the best companies I have ever worked with. Outstanding quality and customer service. I can't wait for our next opportunity to work together. 10/10 would recommend! here is just a few photos

After having contractor nightmares twice it was fantastic to find one who is as conscientious as Adam.

Adam is a professional in his own right and a very experienced craftsman. The work he completed for us was top notch and reasonably priced. He showed up every day on time, was clean and very respectful of our home. This is how contracting work should be done!

We have use Mister Martin Renovations Inc. for multiple renovations, this is the second Kitchen they have done for us and we LOVE it! Adam and his team are great to every last detail and they always make sure you are happy! Would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have work done. You won’t be disappointed!

I was really happy with the work initially, then there were a couple of hiccups. All in all it was a fine experience.
A few (minor) things were left undone and they said they would come back to finish. Multiple appoints were scheduled and then cancelled. As an apology they offered a discount which is nice.
Last week I went to paint and when I removed the mirror they hung, I discovered two large holes hit in the drywall. 4 inches by 4 inches. I wonder if they had hoped I wouldn’t move the mirror?
The tile on the wall was great, the flooring and framing is great. The drywall (aside from those holes) was flawless.
I’d recommend hiring them, but maybe keep a closer eye than I did.
