With covid -19 I finally have time to write a few words on how I feel about the service you offered us. I got to say I am so impressed.
I have been in the sales distribution management level and I find you exceptional, and I was hooked the moment we met. James , you offered the best solution which was to remove the existing grass and re-sod. You are a professional, helpful and not the least bit pushy in your recommendations but rather kept pointing out all the benefits of installing a new lawn . The mcd installation of the sod went very smoothly, Not only that, the quality of the work is outstanding, and the guys worked tirelessly to get it all done in one day . Furthermore you were outstanding with emails and in person visits after the job was completed and convinced us this year on a follow-up maintenance program and offered your continuing help and advice. The quality of the sod is exceptional. Your professionalism James is superb. And the value of the mcd service is first rate. We appreciated the detailed instructions you offered in regards to the watering schedule & mcd left the area very clean and tidy. We have no complaints A plus

Contracted to lift and relay sinking stones which compose my front steps. A year later the stones have sunken again. When contact was made, I was told that the problem was with the foundation under the stones, which they had not done, so therefore were not responsible for! Not happy!

I had a wonderful experience with MCD contracting last summer, for starters I am very impressed with how responsive they are from the moment I called requesting a quote to the follow up. I had my lawn redone as it was not in great shape. the result was better than I could of imagined. The staff was very professional and James was very well spoken and on top of every question I had.

Before MCD Contracting came to "fix" my interlock - which was preventive as there was no pooling water prior to their arrival - I had some uneven stones and wanted to get ahead of any future problems. After paying $2200, I now have water pooling in several places and more uneven stones than I had before. I have called and written several emails, only to be told the problems must have been with the sub-soil, or the way it was graded before. These stones would have been laid anywhere from 10 to 25 years ago. What does that even mean??? When you quote a job I think people expect you to be able to actually do the job, and if you can't - because of pre-existing conditions, or whatever the reason - then you should say so, instead of wasting my money. Why would anybody pay hard earned money to end up with interlock that is in worse shape than it was before??? This company has terrible customer service after completion (my neighbour looked over my fence 5 minutes after I paid for the job and said "I hope you didn't pay for that, you're going to have problems with water pooling right there" - pointing exactly where I now have water pooling) and a guy who does the job quotes who cares more about soaking you for money than about being honest about how and if the job can actually be done. The cigarette butts and used tissue on the lawn were an added bonus. And leaving me to move my own picnic table and bbq back was another perk. As a woman I am always concerned about a being taken advantage of by men who come to do work in the house or the yard. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
