Hired to remove an air conditioner then replace after deck restored

Andre was hired to remove our air conditioner so the deck could be restored, for that he was paid $300. He promised to return when the deck was finished but after exhaustive calls and messages he never showed up.
This might sound like a minor matter but to us, as seniors, it was most frustrating, if he didn't want to return he could have said so, for this we would not recomend him to anyone.
