My wife and I contacted HomeBuild SA after reading the reviews. As other reviewers have stated, we received a detailed scope of work and great ideas for reconfiguring our master bathroom. Even though HomeBuild SA was amongst the higher priced quotes that we retained, we felt that they would provide us with the greatest results. Our project manager Diego was friendly, organized, showed up on time and easy to work with. They stuck to the set schedule which was extremely important to us and made the overall process practically stress free. The overall communication was great and we highly recommend hiring HomeBuild SA.

Replaced cook top at one property and a replacement of faucet in another property.

After retaining multiple quotes from several companies for our two main bathrooms, HomeBuild S.A. was the most detailed and thorough. We felt like we knew exactly what we were getting and where our money was being spent. Once work began, they were just as detail oriented in the workmanship, bringing to our attention anything that may have initially been unknown. They were always on site bright and early. We communicated often with Rafael who provided us with updates, answered any of our questions, always had great recommendation and was very honest with us throughout the whole process. He is very thoughtful in his work and you can tell that he only wants the best results. HomeBuild S.A. is booked several months in advance, but they are truly worth the wait. I was recommended to contact Rafael by another contractor he worked for. After my initial contact, he came to look at my basement and within 1 day I had received the scope of the project which was extremenly detailed as to everything that would be done and timelines for each section of work. He also included payment schedule and receipt page that he signed when each payment was made. I found him to be extremely organized and efficient. His work was absolutely amazing. He showed up every day at 8:00 am with his helper Eliezer , a young man who was a great worker and extremely personable. He made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. The project was finished on time as promised and I now have a finished that I have received many compliments on. The contractors he uses for electrical, dry wall and painting are also very good. They showed up on time and completed the work as per the scope of the project. If you are looking for a contractor to do any renovations or have your basement finished, I highly recommend contacting Rafael. You will not regret your decision.

From our first interaction with Rafael and the crew at Homebuild S.A., we knew we were in good hands. We have had several smaller projects at 2 different properties, but Rafael always made our input, objectives and timelines a priority. Size and scope of the project are immaterial; Rafael treats each with equal detail and importance.

He and the crew are always punctual (even early), efficient and understand the apprehension that homeowners may have about tackling older homes. Rafael communicates immediately, and actually listens and invests in what you are saying/asking.

I am so grateful my electrician recommended Rafael. I had a flood in my basement which was repaired but I needed the drywall and trim repaired. Since there was little insulation in the wall I decided to have the entire exterior wall reinsulated and drywalled. I also needed work done in my laundry room.

Rafael is professional, punctual, and keeps you up to date on the progress of the work and next steps. He made great recommendations to improve my laundry room, such as potlights and redoing the way my water pipes were set up. The finished result is amazing. It looks open, immaculate and bigger as the pipes are hidden.

Once the exterior walls were removed Rafael found a major issue. Part of the cement floor against the exterior wall was missing and it went down to dirt. The exterior wall had a crack due to the lack of support in that section. Thankfully Rafael was able to fix the issue for a very reasonable cost.

The work was done within the original stated timelines, completed professionally and within budget. Rafael was good enough to fix other sections of the deywall where the previous job was poorly done and did it without extra cost!! They left my house clean when they were done and made sure they put back my shelving in my laundry room.

I highly recommend Rafael and will definitely have him come back to redo my main bathroom.

Rafael tiled our kitchen backsplash and was a pleasure to work with. He was friendly, professional, prompt and tidy. We have an older home and the walls he was working on were quite uneven. Despite this, the finished product looks great. We would definitely recommend Rafael and HomeBuild S.A.
