Simple plumbing repair

We called Wrench it up Plumbing to fix a few simple plumbing issues in our home eg. loose facet & leaky drain. The work was completed without incident. We quickly realized that the drain they had fixed was still leaking, now even worse than before! We called to inform them that the work wasn't completed correctly and requested they return to mitigate the issue. They were very difficult to get a hold of, repeatedly didn't return our calls and once we were able to speak to someone - flat out refused to return to fix the issue! Stay away from these unprofessional, inept folks.

Highly unprofessional and disrespectful

They were called to fix washroom vanity.. they pit the vanity off balance and unstable with huge gaps between the walls and the vanity... caulking they used was not even water proof..and it was gone on just three days... they were called back .. they came admitted their fault... but
they were rude , loud and extremely disrespctful
They were just bullies saying , " Go to hell."
They did not fix it. SIMPLY, STAY AWAY FROM THESE BULLIES WITH TATOOS.

Amazing experience

Adrian did an unbelievable job. He was on time, professional, assessed and fixed the problem quickly, logically, vacuumed before and after, and took with him, all the garbage related to the job. Literally, did a perfect job, is a very pleasant guy and i will tell my friends and family about the experience.

Wrench it Up Plumbing S/B called "Wreck it Up Plumbing"

Would not recommend using Wrench It Up. They should be called "Wreck It Up. This plumbing company talks a good talk but can't do the walk. The plumber Matt came and gave us an estimate and assured us that all our plumbing concerns would be fulfilled, but how wrong was he. He wouldn't install a new kitchen sink unless I got someone else to take out the old sink. That should have been my first clue of Matt's incompetence, and so instead, he installed the tap  that we provided on the old sink improperly because he did not use all the tap plate that came with the tap in order to brace it properly. I had two out of three toilets working properly and after Matt dealt with the three toilets he couldn't repair the two and the company had to send another plumber to repair his mistakes, yet two of the three toilets are now not working properly. Matt then tried to install a new laundry room tap that we provided for the laundry tub and managed to break the  laundry tub drain pipe. He then went and bought a laundry tub without measuring the old one and found that it was way too small, so he took it back and put the responsibility of finding and purchasing a new tub on us. Who does that, and why did it become our responsibility? My wife and I spent over five hours looking and purchased a new laundry tub. The second plumber stated that the new tub we purchased could be installed properly into the laundry tub cabinet and gave his blessing. Matt then installed the new laundry tub improperly because it couldn't be braced to anything and was rendered useless. Matt then informs me that this tub was not meant to be installed into a cabinet, so then the question is, why did he even install it into the cabinet. l don't know why my wife paid him, yet she wrote a negative constructive review in Google and John the customer service person paid her a small fee to retract the negative review and promised her that they would right all their wrongs, which they didn't. Imagine that, a company paying you to hide their negative reviews. The final straw was when Matt wouldn't do anymore and walked away being arrogant. John put me in touch with the owner who was very arrogant, rude, belligerent, was plain nasty swearing and hung up the phone on me. This company also did not refund the estimated fee nor give the 10% seniors discount fee which they said they would if we accepted their estimate, nor the cost of the new laundry tub we purchased. We now have no tub to do our laundry and are worse off with our plumbing matters than we were before we called Wrench It Up, and this is the reason for this second negative review. We are now going to take this matter to litigation because we have no other choice. I give Wrench It Up a 0 rating, however, I had to show a 1 star in order to submit this review.

Cut three times and measure once???

Witnessing the technician attempt to find a leak was worse than watching a train wreck. Not only did he struggle with cutting the ceiling (both hand tool & saw), he seemed very uncertain of what he was doing. Hence the hesitation cuts (as shown in the photos). After the 3rd massive hole, he decided to measure the distance of the toilet above to where he should have started. I was reminded that he was not responsible for the repairs to the ceiling multiple time during his demolition. I'm very even tempered and continued to have faith that he would make the necessary repairs and at a reasonable price.

After the demolition was completed, the technician was still unable to identify any issues related to the leak! It doesn't end there.. moving on to the other leak from the master ensuite. How about we cut more oversize holes!!! With my help, the technician was able to identify a leak coming from the shower drain. Don't worry he says, it shouldn't be a big job. His phone rings, he takes a call from his fellow plumber outside, returns back into the house and things dramatically change... here comes the fear mongering. This is going to be a big job suddenly and I should be expecting an estimate by end of day.

I'm left with a ~ $500 bill 4 holes and 6 hours later...keep in mind this was for his disastrous visit only. To make matters worse, the technician cut 4 irregular sized holes in the ceiling..3 of which were greater than 8"x8" making any patch job a nightmare. I almost forgot to mention, the technician also used his ladder on my coffee table!

Here's the icing on the cake... I get an invoice not by end of day as he promised, but a couple days after he damaged my house. To add insult to injury, the estimate they provided was $6000!?!?! Are you kidding me? I what i experienced, I was already thinking that I wouldn't even hire these people for the job even if they only charged a penny.

I work long hours and don't have the time for games. I just finally got around to patching up the ceiling and writing this painful review.

This company should ONLY stick to unclogging drains as their positive reviews suggests.

A relative visited and made all repairs for for less than $600.

This company needs to rectify this matter as I'm still dumbfounded by their service.

Stay far away from these people.

Plugged Toilet

I called Wrench it Up for our plugged toilet. First he tried to clear the clog for me and ended up breaking his snake. Unfortunately, had to have a new toilet installed. He picked up our new toilet and found one on sale. He came and installed the toilet and was so polite and it was very nice having him in my home. Did a great job and cleaned everything up What a great couple of guys and will call Wrench It Up for any other plumbing problems I might have. I would give them 11 out of 10 and thoroughly recommend them to anyone needing a plumber. Thank you so very much.

DIY'er Knows to Call Professionals When Needed

First of all, I'm a DIY'er for the main reason that I like to save money whenever possible. Plus, I love the feeling of doing things by and for myself.

That being said, there are times when you need a professional. I live in a condo and there is a $25,000 deductible meaning that if something goes wrong with my work and I cause damage to not only my unit, but to all the units 5 floors below me, I'm on the hook for $25K. This has happened to other residents in my building multiple times in the 16 years I've been living here, so I know it's real!

Throw in tools that I don't have and don't know how to operate correctly and safely (namely a blowtorch and solder) and you can understand the risk/reward calculation does NOT favor doing it myself.

So now, about Wrench It Up Plumbing; I did my due diligence and called around, plus I remembered previous experiences with other plumbers who I wouldn't use again or recommend.

* When I called Wrench It Up Plumbing, I actually talked to a live person who understood plumbing and was able to assess my needs immediately. Other places I called used an answering service who promised to get a plumber to call me right back; (still waiting).

* I was then told very clearly what the company policy and procedure was about setting an appointment agreeing to the work. I really appreciated this transparency right up front as previous plumbers had basically used hostage holding tactics of doing the work and THEN hitting me with a preposterous bill!

* I was given a very short and narrow window for setting the appointment; not like some companies who tell you next week between the hours of 9-5. Nope, Wrench It Up Plumbing set up an appointment within 2 hours and gave me a 2-hour wait window! Amazing!

* From the time I made the appointment until the plumbers arrived, I was in constant contact via text as to where the plumbers were and when they would be at my place. The plumbers arrived at the BEGINNING of the 2-hour wait window!

* Two plumbers arrived at my door - one master plumber and a young apprentice - both of whom were extremely courteous, respectful and pleasant. They came in and assessed the situation, gave me a couple of options with firm prices and once I made my choice, they went back to their truck to get their parts and tools.

* The work was done in about an hour with everything cleaned up. Billing and payment was done right on the spot and I had my invoice, receipt, and most importantly a 1-year guarantee via email before they walked out the door.

*Five minutes after the two plumbers left, I got a follow-up text reviewing the work done.

In summary, Wrench It Up Plumbing earned this 5-Star review for their complete professionalism every step of the way from the initial contact, through the work, the billing AND the considerate follow-up!

Will I use them again? ABSOLUTELY! Would I recommend them? HIGHLY!
