Caveat Emptor or Buyer Beware; we are providing this review to alert either current or potential clients to the risks faced by dealing with Homefront Solutions (not an Inc by the way) and or any entity that's led by the principle Antonio . Despite having used this contractor previously (and trusting him), our project was characterized by unfulfilled promises, missed appointments, messy and incomplete work, lack of any documentation despite commitments for same, and enough excuses to float a boat. Eventually after receiving more money than earned (our mistake) the project was abandoned and any and all communication with us ceased. We were forced to locate another contractor to finish the work that was largely left undone. Folks using sites like Homestars, need to support each other in times like this and we ask anyone using this contractor, or thinking of doing so to think and act carefully. In August 2019, Antonio (the man behind Home Front Solutions) came highly recommended by our realtor. We took our realtor's advice despite some red flags, as we were told we had been chosen to adopt a baby the week before and were very overwhelmed/busy. He was hesitant to provide a quote in writing, despite saying he would. We did eventually receive a quote in writing via email and developed a payment schedule. Initially, he discovered a real issue (not in our initial quote) and set to work fixing the problem. We received photos of his daily work. Appeased, we moved forward with the payment schedule. He postponed our move 7 times due to multiple “surprise” issues. One week before we were to move in officially, we found our home practically gutted with garbage everywhere. All the walls were painted the wrong colour, poorly, and unfinished. None of our appliances or supplies had been purchased and they were definitely not on site. We’ve begun the process to sue. This man held our newborn baby in his arms, in our rental home, and promised we would have a “safe home for our new child.” We discovered that he had liquidated his company the month before he quoted us. Because of him, we lived out of boxes for 3 months with a newborn baby and we are now in a crisis of debt at the start of our new family. His website has been removed; although he has a facebook page with his cell number posted.

We had a deal with Antonio - presented as an owner of this company HomeFront Solutions INC. to renovate our condo. We set a date to start the work and paid him deposit for materials. When start date were coming closer I called Antonio to check if his crew will come on agreed date, but he started to give us excuses. It was a week after booked date when I started to be really worried about. As Antonio sopped to answer my emails and phone calls. Now I'm trying to find him to proceed with legal actions. But it looks like I need to hire private investigator, as his company website (just google HomeFront Solutions inc.) has no address and I can't find any physical address related to this company or this person.
This review is to let other people know - be ware of this shady guys. Don't make our mistakes for having issues we are facing now.

We hired a person whose business card indicated that he was the principle of this company to finish our basement and apply for all the required permits as my wife needed to carry her business in the basement and for that we needed all the paperwork in place and all the code requirement for that matter met.
We paid him separately for the permit and preparing the drawings.
As me and my wife were always busy at work and away from home we put our complete and unconditional trust in this person and he carried on the work.
We constantly questioned him during the work in regards the documents and permits at all stages of the work and he always responded that he has all the necessary paperwork’s and he claimed that inspector has come at such a day and everything is in order and after the final inspections I will deliver all the necessary documents.
The job got completed and still we had not seen any paperwork from him and finally about 3 weeks ago he ended the communication with us (through text messages and phone) particularly when he found out that we have gone to Town of Oakville and ESA (Electrical authorities) where we were told that there are no records of any application for any permit.
Now we have to start over hire electrician to obtain ESA approval which meant lots of money spent and they found lots of flaws in his work and many issues which were not up to code.
We have to do the same with HVAC ,...and spend lots of money there.
We have to spend lots of money to bring the basement up to the code for fire rated items which were missed by Antonio.
This review is to provide enough necessary information to public and provide awareness to the consumers hoping to avoid issues we are facing right now.
On the other hand there is no address for this company and the website gives you nothing to track and find these people.

If you want some really seedy characters who may, without hesitation, blurt out inappropriate, sexual remarks, discard their trash onto your neighbour's property so that they have a reason to start a fight with you, attempt to tap into your neighbour's water source so that they can go for another round with you, then you have come to the right place.

If workers do not take the precautionary steps in ensuring a smooth operation during a project then it may cost more to you than what comes out of the pocket book, no matter how economical the suggested price appears. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

After speaking face-to-face with the company owner, I felt like I needed to take a shower and wash out the grease and slime after interacting with him, and listening to his unwillingness to acknowledge his crew members' disrespect and crimes.
