Overcharge

I had a leaking hose on my fridge. I diagnosed the issue and even suggested the repair to tech. Parts were max. $10. He spent 30 mins doing the work. The cost was $310 plus taxes, plus credit card charge. Will never use them again.

Dishonest operation

Paid $135 for a service call, that was advertised at $99. We were pretty sure the thermal fuse/switch on our wall oven had tripped after a self clean cycle. Tech said we didnt have a fuse/switch like that on our oven! He never even pulled the oven out from wall cavity to find the problem or test circuits etc. Said it was a power controller failure even though our display was functional and oven fan was running. $800 repair if we had gone for it. We didnt. We pulled out the oven, saw the tripped switch on the thermal fuse - that he said we didnt have - reset the switch and oven heated up. We decided to replace the switch/fuse, just in case it
happened again. $80 part, and twenty minutes of our time.
This outfit is not honest. Stay away.

Stove timer that wasn't fixed.

Back in April the settings on my stove timer weren't working and the timer would go off every hour or so. I called Express repair to come take a look. In my phone call, I specifically said what the issue was and asked for a quote, which they did not provide. The only thing they said was that it was a $99 service call to assess, and if I wanted it repaired they would credit the $99 from the bill. When the Tec got to my place he pressed a couple of buttons and the settings didn't work for him either, so he looked up the part on line and said that the parts were obsolete and he couldn't fix the timer. I was disappointed that they couldn't fix my stove ( I was left with a beeping timer) so I asked if he could at least disconnect the wire to stop the beeping. The tec said it would cost me $290 ( this is already with the $99 deducted. I was floored and said " TO disconnect a wire?? And not fix my stove??". He didn't say much other than that's a flat rate....In frustration and needing the beeping sound to go away, I said yes, all while feeling I am being exploited. After the Tec left, I called customer service to complain and they were rude, and dismissed me saying he touched my stove so the charges applies...Obviously he touched my stove, you can't assess without touching, but he didn't fix anything, I still have a stove with no timer. I requested to speak to Management to which I was told they were gone for the day. I asked if they can call me when they are back, I never heard from them. I called again a few days later and they weren't available. I asked if they could call me back. To this day I am still waiting to hear from them...To add insult to injury today they texted me saying that they "validate" me as a customer and would like to offer me $50 off my next repair, to give them a call to schedule an appointment...I don't want to deal with them again!! I don't want $50 off my next repair, I want a refund no strings attached!

Waiting a month for a new part for my oven repair

Arrived on Apr.3rd 2023 and assessed oven problem as requiring new motherboard.Said if I ordered part through him immediately, then he would not charge for assessment visit and only charge for new part and installation.I would have to pay half of total cost today and balance upon completion of service. Paid $365.00 with credit card that included an extra fee for using the credit card as a form of payment.A month later, part still has not been received and oven still broken. Frequent calls and e-mails to company has only resulted in "part not in yet, will call you when it arrives".Will not send me any type of written verification part has been ordered or definite date when repair will occur. Customer service non existing...Can't reach anybody in management to ask about problem...Feel I was misled about how long it would take for part to arrive..Questioning whether part was even ordered...Update...Finally contacted manager and was able to cancel the part and its installation, but was charged 30% of cost of new part as a restocking fee as well as the taxes on the part which I never got...never was able to get any type of proof part had ever even been ordered, but at this point, just wanted nightmare to end...

Lousy workmanship

My issue is after doing a repair they don't stand by their work. I had a motor replaced in my dryer and after 10 loads the drum belt fell off. Now it did state that the motor had no warranty but the motor isn't the issue. Obviously the technician didn't replace the drum belt properly and won't come and fix without another service fee.

Caution

Should have looked at all the reviews on this company.

I had representative from Express Repair come to my residence to repair my fridge. The representative indicated he was not a refrigeration technician however indicated my cooling system was faulty and needed to be rebuilt. Costs estimated between $1200 and $1400 to repair. Called a couple days later and asked if they could make the repairs required. Michelle (I think she is some kind of manager) called back and indicated it would take 3 months to get parts and I should call the manufacturer. I asked Michelle to provide a documentation indicating the long delay so I had something to show the manufacturer. She refused and said it was against their policy. I then asked for a part number and she indicated she would send within 48 hours. Two weeks latter I followed up with Michelle about part number and she said they no longer fix fridges and to look up part number on line.
Not getting any service from ExpressRepairs I was forced to pay for another company to diagnose fridge issues. It will cost $500 to repair fridge.

Do not use this company- money grab

the technician came to fix my Whirlpool Duet dryer. On the phone I gave the operator the error codes I found on my machine. I also showed Andres the technician these codes when he arrived. He spent 2 hours at my house with no success. He wanted me to pay for his time when he did not fix the dryer and wasn't sure what was wrong! I said I will pay when you fix it. He left after arguing and sent me an invoice. The accounts manager called and demanded payment and was very rude. I paid because she threatened to send a collection agency.

Feel missled

Wish i read all the reviews first. First there website says 59.99 or up for service call i got charged 90$ after tax.

Second I asked when I was booking what is the max price for the part as I gave them the exact model and part that wasent working on my washing machine. As I knew what it was and was told a max price. Tech arrives no parts and then gives me a price double the original max and tell me I owe $90 because he came. Took 20 minutes max. Most time spent writing a recipt.

Asked about if I get a new machine could I get the service call price back he said no only for the part.

I did more than the service person

Service person came out, opened the top, looked around for 30 minutes, closed the washing machine, then googled what the problem was for 30 minutes then told me what he thought was wrong. I asked him what if it wasn't that issue, he shrugged his shoulders. He then told me what the issue was as per the manual. I did all of that AND ran diagnostic tests. He didn't even do that. Quoted me $404. I told him I'd just sell the machine and he tried to tell me how good it was. I told him not for a repair half the cost of the machine.
