We hired Ben to consult on a different job and ended up hiring him to do the architectural drawings required to get a building permit from the city. We were getting some larger windows installed and Ben did the beautiful drawings. He took his time, never rushed us and was a very clear communicator. We hope to work with him again soon!

I have contacted Ben to come and help me with my multi-unit residential project.
He came and gave me his recommendations which I found to be very precise and helpful. Later, he started the work and prepared many design options for me to see and evaluate. Based on my design preference, He prepared the complete detail drawings and specifications for the first and basement floor and applied for permit. His timing is great and quick and his professionalism is very high. His recommendations during the work,reduced the construction cost. His team of engineers also came in very handy since he ordered the structural and mechanical drawings to his contacts and they delivered as promised with a reasonable fee.
We have another part of the project still going that will require approval from the committee of adjustment which I am very sure will result in the same high standard of work.

Ben was a thorough and reliable source of knowledge and support as we embarked on our home reno. He guided us through the initial drawings phase, then onto final versions, Committee of Adjustment, City fees and permits. In my first talks with Ben he was extremely helpful guiding me through the city archives procedures in order to gain as much information about my (old) house as possible. His guidance allowed me to save money by avoiding a costly property survey. His communication is extremely prompt and always very professional. He offered me multiple design options for the basement underpinning that were all well thought through for my particular needs. When I decided on a design that I liked he connected me with an engineer and promptly put together a permit application that was approved with out any delays. He really understands the permit application process and helped me procure a permit as fast as possible. I took my time deciding on a design and Ben was very flexible and accommodating making it clear that the important thing for him is that I feel good about whatever decision I make however long that takes. My work with Ben is ongoing as after the basement I'll be renovating the upper 2 floors of my house using his designs. I will recommend Ben to friends and family. His communication skills, his understanding of the codes and procedures, and his design ideas are all top-notch. Ben's been a pleasure to work with.

I spent a good amount of time talking with various design / build firms as well as independent architects before selecting Ben to be my Architect, and I'm glad I did! Design, Drawings and permits can be time consuming, especially if you need to go through Committee of Adjustment. Ben was extremely helpful and diligent throughout the entire process, representing me and my project at Committee of Adjustment, following up with the city for zoning, reviews and permits. He was patient with us as my wife and I dithered and delayed when finalizing our various design options. Ben shared his experience with us to guide us through various options and gave us insights on how best to proceed, as well as laying out the pros and cons of our design choices. We're thrilled with the final design and drawings, and I highly recommend Ben! I wouldn't hesitate to use him again in the future!
