Skylark Tree Care

I was very selective when I chose Skylark. I wanted a company who put tree health above all else.

The initial assessment of my two at risk trees was done very quickly. Gaelan provided an extensive review of the trees and made recommendations: one could be saved, but one was in decline with perhaps only a couple of season left at best. His expertise in was evident as he showed us all the telltale signs of the tree's stress as it tried to compensate for the failing limbs and how it would deteriorate further in a short amount of time. He also confirmed that anything you do with a tree, even pruning, has to be done properly or you could hurt the tree more than help it.

All our trees are at least 60 years old, so very large. We hired Skylark to remove the sugar maple, patch the hole in the trunk of one honey locust, prune both locusts from above the house rooftops, and remove a pyramid oak stump left after the tree had died and been cut down few years back.

All work was exceptional. The crew showed up as scheduled and left the place in good order at the end of each day. The focus was on safety and proper tree care. The result is that both locusts look fabulous. They did not do anything to compromise these marvelous trees which I expect will still have a long life. I would not hesitate to hire them again or make a recommendation.
