We hired Dennis to install laminate and stairs. He seemed very nice and professional and even signed a contract with a $150 refund for every day overdue. Unfortunately, that contract isn't worth the paper it's written on.
Dennis was supposed to finish the job in mid-July and it is now the end of August and it's still not done.
He has stopped answering calls and responding to emails and any day he has said he was going to show up he didn't.
Here are other reviews and people he has left hanging:

If you doubt this post, do the following:
1. Ask for a business license from southern flooring and verify it online
2. Don't give 25% up front like he asks and definitely don't give 50% on the day he starts like his contract asks. Protect yourself and make sure that 90% of the payment is when the project is complete to your satisfaction.
3. Get a real address (from his driver's license). His contract gives an 'accounting' office in Oakville and you won't be able to do anything with it.
