The work completed was an electrical service panel and meter upgrade. The home is owned by an elderly parent who still had the original 100 amp service with fuses. The electrical stack was rusted and corroded and needed replacement as well. Lawson electric installed a new electrical stack, conduit, moved the meter to the outside of the home, and installed a new panel with breakers. The work was completed over 2 days with the majority of the new service installed before the house was disconnected for the changeover. The house was disconnected for a few hours before being reconnected to Toronto Hydro. Lawson electric coordinated with ESA and Toronto Hydro on behalf of the homeowner and arranged for the safety inspection, the disconnect and reconnect. The installation was completed with minimal disruption and the work site was clean with all the older equipment removed from the home. I would recommend Lawson Electric to homeowners needing electrical work done. If you have senior parents who need work done, you can leave Craig and his employees at their home and not have to babysit the contractor. The owner is polite and well spoken and is easy to deal with and doesn't try to upsell you on services that you don't need. They also don't leave your home a mess and wear covers on their work boots.
