Your crews left yesterday and will be back in a couple of weeks to do shower doors, mirrors and lighting and a few other minor details that I know will be taken care of. It is hard to exceed expectations for a very particular person like me however your people did just that. Started with Mitchell and Theepan. A great and knowledgeable team and great taste, skill and temperament. Always very responsive and here for us in all ways Demolition is tough loud and dusty. The prep work and plastic down of the house furniture and stairs was impressive. You use great floor and stair covers so we didn’t have to worry about tripping. The house is back in order and all pictures hung by Mitchell and his team. The house looks great and even swiftered everyday. A pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with Mitchell on my 2nd project starting this winter for our guest bathroom and kitchen. Mitchell ran a good team too, always friendly and knowledgeable about each day. Started each day with “do you have any questions.” He had answers or would get them. He even helped me carry in my groceries! I look forward to working with him again on my 2nd project. Trust in a team is important & nice to work with you and I love your experience and suggestions. You hire well. People are already asking how is the remodel going. I hear their horror stories, then I brag about how good North shore bathrooms is and couldn’t be more pleased. My brother was disappointed you are not in Seattle. You should be very proud of your people and the detail and quality of their work. Great job!

Designer lipstick put on with the wrong hand and without a mirror is the best way to describe our experience with North Shore Bathrooms... The design process and concept put together by Mitchell was great but the execution was sorely lacking -- finishing scope not completed, "extra" work done to cover up cut corners and an unwillingness to own up to fixing deficiencies (including incorrectly (at best) or uncompleted bathroom venting resulting in significant airspace moisture that now must be fixed). Almost a year after the last work was done, we're still coming across cut corners in the install work. Frustrating (and costly) to say the least.

The scope of work included a complete bathroom (with lots of tiling) and powder room refresh (with sub'ed out plumbing -- at least that was done well!) as well as 2 levels of new laminate flooring in our townhome,

North Shore Bath was not the cheapest quote we had but we decided to make the jump based on the first consult impressions with Mitchell...

Related -- I contacted the Baeumler Approved program (@B_Approved / #BaeumlerApproved) with my issues and they had little interest in following through on an investigation into the work, doing little else than saying they'd put North Shore Bath "on probation pending other complaints". The Baeumler Approved program means very little for the consumer - I'm sure membership has it's privileges.

I don't argue with the premium materials (i.e. "designer lipstick") and while the install progressed well (and the review you asked from us to help you out was during installation) the finish / completion fell short... The "free" painting (which I actually agreed to pay for as extra scope) and baseboards (which made no sense the quoted floor install did not include replacing baseboards but I would have considered paying if they were not so hastily installed - no amount of filler makes up for the uneven cuts and odd shims to fill floor gaps) certainly doesn't make up for the scope left incomplete.

Regarding the bathroom ventilation -- From the beginning of the project, you fully knew I had strata approval (incl funds) to put a new vent in the roof to improve ventilation (the main focus of the project!!) and even provided the strata roof contractor to do the work. All you needed to do was coordinate the work and connect to a new vent. Instead, you said the "HVAC Inspector" (who either should have his license revoked or simply doesn't exist -- feel free to clarify) confirmed the new (much more powerful) exhaust fan was "venting outside through the connection to the existing ducting." While the new fan certainly pulled moisture out of the bathroom, little did we know it was being pumped directly into the ceiling... There is no "concrete wall to see through" and the existing ducting was barely 6ft long and open ended into the airspace -- I know as I've seen the snake camera footage.

The "gorgeous bathroom" we were left with has a hole in the ceiling where an exhaust fan should be, cracks in the shower header due to the drying of moisture blown direct into the airspace plus the deficiencies and unfinished scope that you walked away from including no back splash, off-centered light fixture, a couple gaps in the grouting and unfinished floor transitions (tile to floor and stairs) - to name just some.

Compared to renovations completed by other contractors in my neighbour's homes in our +40 year old townhomes, the difference in finishing quality and attention to detail is striking.

Kudos where due, your design and materials selection were great and spoke to exactly what we were looking for but it is regrettable (and expensive) that completion did not live up to the concept.

I reached out to Mitchell looking for professionals to help me install a Schluter system in two showers, plus tiling. Mitchell was always responsive ensuring that all our questions were answered, plus giving us sound advice. I met Mitchell on a Monday, then he had his tile expert in working the following day. It was so great to get someone in so quick as our reno has delayed many months now. This was all while juggling multiple jobs, trying to satisfy all his customers.

Pat, who was the professional who completed everything for us is absolutely amazing. Not only was he very respectful of our requests, he kept the place clean, balanced different tasks to ensure my other trades were able to finish, plus took tremendous pride to provide the best quality of work. I have already received many compliments of his work.

Overall, I would be happy to recommend Mitchell and Pat to others, as our experience was a great one.

Needed some quality Schluter Kerdi products for a bathroom renovation I was doing for a customer and contacted Mitchell. He was able to locate and deliver the products I was having difficulty finding all in the same day at a competitive price. It was a pleasure dealing with someone who takes customer service seriously.

After I gutted and rebuilt our two main bathrooms I contacted Mitchell to install the tile. My wife and I had already picked out the tile we wanted; a large and heavy 12" x 48" tile as the main tile and a ledge stone for a feature wall. All together about 400 sqft.Mitchel gave us a very reasonable budget to work with and would install the Schluter System in the shower and bath areas.Aaron came out to do the tile work. For the 2 weeks he was here he was like another family member! I was doing other parts of the overall house renovation and often we would break for lunch together like "old co-workers"He was meticulous in his work, very professional. One of the things we appreciated very much was that he would call in the morning to give us a heads up to when he would arrive...giving us a chance to get out of bed and have a coffee, before he did.When a problem or issue arose, he would communicate it immediately and we could find the best course of action rectify it. When we were finishing the shower we noticed that the cover plate for the shower valve didn't quite cover the hole in the tile. He said; "No problem." and broke out the tile and replaced it.All in all, we are very pleased with the work, the cost, but mostly the people. I wouldn't hesitate to ask them back when I do the basement bathroom!

Our first tile setter did not have any commitments to help us to replace our kitchen floor. It was not done correctly and took nearly a week just to get half way on our (13' x 14') kitchen floor. We found North Shore Bathrooms & Flooring through online search and thanks to them for their awesome work. They not only cleaned up the mess, but they fixed it in a very knowledgeable way also efficient, as a result, we have a much nicer look to the kitchen floor.
