An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
I contacted the company after receiving one of their flyers in the mail. I had a technician come out the next day who explained how their backwater valve works, during the flash flood last year, my basement was a big pool, I did the waterproofing on it, but their flyer reminded me about the complete flood protection which also has the city rebate on it. I had a few more estimates from other companies, but the technicians knowledge from Maelstrom on the backwater valves that they were offering was much more comprehensive than some of the other guys that came by. The price wasn’t the lowest but their product and knowledge of it sold me. The installation only took a day, with the city inspector coming in that afternoon, so they finished a few hours after the inspection, same day. Very happy with this company and would highly recommend them.
