Chris from Haystack Home Inspections completed a home inspection for us recently. He was very thorough and was nice enough to allow my husband to accompany him. His report was detailed, and again very thorough. The report was emailed to us in a timely manner.

Chris Thompson of Haystack Home Inspections spent many hours looking over the entire property from roof issues, electrical, plumbing, structural and any other issue that might present an issue. Additionally Chris was aware of the fact we have a 10 month old baby and pointed out safety issues in the home that we never would thought of. Chris took time to explain findings on site and also walk through the inspection report and continues to be available for questions. The level of detail in the report far exceeded my expectations. I truly felt confident to remove subjects and proceed with the purchase of our new home after receiving the home inspection from Haystack. Not a large fee to spend for the peace of mind and findings we were given. Chris provided recommendations for fixing deficiencies in a Tiered system that allows the home owner to focus on priority fixes and deal with deficiencies in the appropriate time.

Chris Thompson with Haystack Home Inspections has been a pleasure to work with. With tight turnarounds in the Real Estate market Chris was quick to respond and was able to fit us in with little notice. He is extremely professional and is great to work with.

The quality of the home inspection was top notch! What I really liked is that he was willing to take the time during the inspection and show us areas that we should be aware of, including level of urgency to be fixed and what the expected costs may be. Some other inspectors would not allow us to follow along and will only give you a recap at the end.

After the inspection the full report showed everything discussed and more, including pictures and risk. Even our Strata Council found this valuable and helped me build the case for an urgent matter.

Weeks after the Inspection I received a follow up call from Chris asking if we had any further questions and congratulated us in our purchase.

Hi,

we asked Chris to help us with 39 years old 2br condo (concrete building) about a month ago. We found Chris and his company on Internet. Me and my wife looked at reviews and made a phone call. I like the way he talk on the phone. He explained who he is, how long he is in a business and what inspection process will be. Our conversation increase our confidence in him. We decided to go forward and hire him.

He arrived on time as he said. He was able to look at the place as a professional and not as a regular buyer (like us). It was interesting to see how he was able to find the issues what we were not able to even think about. During Inspection he explained good and bad element of the building and apartment. He was using regular language so it could be easier for us to understand. He was able to identify few main issues of the building itself.

Next morning at 9am, I received a detail report and with images as he promised. Report was clear and didn’t miss any information. Building had few major issues, and thanks to this detail report, we were able to negotiate price a little bit. I would defiantly recommend Chris. Thanks.

We saw a place on a whim and had to move fast. We took possession about 17 days after seeing the place for the first time. Chris made himself available very quickly but we didn't feel like he was rushing his inspection, he was very thorough. He took his time, went through every possible access point and explained very clearly everything he thought needed work or could be a problem down the road.
