I hired Delmar to complete a higher end master closet project in a new build.

From a quality perspective, the finished project looks amazing - it is exactly what we wanted, no surprises. The installation is excellent, it corrected any imperfections on the finished wall and ceilings, our painters said it was one of the cleanest jobs they have seen.

From a delivery management and customer service perspective, they were completely professional - they were finished our CAD/specs in just 2-3 days, they returned any enquiry phonecalls immediately and they were a bit early in terms of the scheduled finish date.

From a cost perspective, they were flexible and allowed me to add some more creative elements while holding the initial quote. All of the other countercosted millwork shops kept revising my quotes for minor details. I really appreciated that they were willing to just include it and see the overall picture while maintaining competitive.
I would without hesitation recommend Jim and Delmar to anyone. In construction it can be really difficult to determine who to choose for each trade, they were one of our best experiences through out our new build process.

I hired Delmar Millwork to design and construct a large custom walk-in closet for my wife. The room was actually formerly an exercise room, so it is quite large, and afforded a great variety of closets, custom shoe shelves, and built-in cabinetry for clothes, as well as a large island with drawers on both sides. What attracted me to Delmar was the promise of top quality materials (no particle board) and a truly custom fit as opposed to pre-sized boxes that some groups have to conform to since they do not build their own cabinets. My wife chose a creamy off-white painted cabinet colour, and the finished product looks and functions great. Delmar's crew got the job done on time and on budget in a very friendly and professional manner. I would not hesitate to recommend Jim and the crew at Delmar.

As part of our kitchen and bathroom renovation in 2010, we chose Delmar Millwork based on the recommendation of our contractor and designer. Our designer and the Delmar design consultant worked well together to produce the best design for our renovation. The smallest details were planned. They took all the stress out of planning a custom designed kitchen in an older house. Any questions or concerns we had were answered to our satisfaction. As part of the planning process, a sample door was made to confirm the exact product that we would receive. The installation was smooth and all technical problems were resolved. For example, the installer searched and made a special trip to acquire a special hinge for the door in front of the kitchen sink. Everyone is very impressed with our new kitchen. The quality and workmanship of the cabinetry is obvious. The construction is solid; there are no stapled drawers here. A few month after the installation, Delmar returned to touch up any marks left by the contractors and even a few already made by us, a nice touch. In all stages of the process, there was pride in their professional workmanship and our very first renovation was a success.

Delmar was a pleasure to work with, building and installing a custom wall-to-wall entertainment center. We were interested in a low VOC product which was easier to achieve with a custom product. Excellent quality of work, beautiful finish. The staff were very friendly and approachable, happy to answer all of my questions including all of the small details. They gave me a copy of the actual AutoCad shop drawings to review and sign-off on! They were punctual, both during install and the return visit for some touch-ups.

Price was reasonable. We got quotes from a big-box store and a semi-custom product to compare. Turnaround time was comparable as well. While it took Delmar a few months to build and finish our cabinets from scratch, we would have waited the same amount of time from the other two quotes with our project in the queue at some huge factory.

One suggestion for Delmar would be to have more samples available for customers to view. Excellent work, strongly recommended.

We have used Delmar for various projects over the past couple of years - a total kitchen renovation in 2013, a bedroom cabinet installation in 2011, and kitchen, living room and office cabinetry over the past few years. Their millwork is second to none and the installers and cabinet makers are excellent - they have completed work on site when we have been away, and always leave the site clean and tidy. We would have no hesitation in recommending them for this type of work.

Delmar made and installed the cabinets throughout the house, including kitchens, bathrooms and various built-ins. Their work is impeccable, not only in what you can see, but also in the areas that are hidden. The installation was timely and done in a most professional manner. All of the custom features that we wanted were accommodated without fuss. Everyone that comes into the house comments on how beautiful the woodwork is. Minor post installation service was performed on a timely basis. All of their staff with whom we worked behaved in a professional manner and were a delight to work with.

Impressed will all aspects of the renovation work that they did. The quality of craftmanship was beyond our expectations as was the attention to detail from design to building to installation. Our contractor was hesitant at first to go with Jim and Delmar, as he hadn't worked with them in the past but the work they did for us and the on time, on budget performance, impressed the contractor and they have now worked on other jobs together. Jim takes great pride in his work and it shows. He was pleasure to work with.
