the deck guys

This is the second project by the deck guys . They originally built a large deck and pergola. Based on the quality of their work we had them return to build a beautiful privacy screen.
Ironically, had we taken their advice, and had the screen built with the first project we would have saved money !
James and Sean are straight-shooters who provide honest advice and do quality work.

James and his team did a fantastic job, couldn't be more happy with this addition to our lives, morning coffee's will never be the same.

The composite deck with roof covering is perfect for outdoor gatherings. The smoker and flat top grill kitchen make cooking easy. The large fireplace adds warmth and coziness, while the TV above provides entertainment. Overall, it's a fantastic outdoor living space for hosting friends and family.

From start to finish it was a pleasure having this company do work for me Very punctual, organized and professional. My deck is beautiful 10x20 with step down to 10x10 railings and skirting. I was very pleased with the cost and extremely happy with the work. I have already giving a deposit for a front porch at my home.

The Deck Guys were hired for an addition to my deck that they renovated last year. Once again, James and his team were professional and completed the work in a timely manner. Another fantastic job and I'm quite pleased with the results!

My husband and I hired The Deck Guys to tear down our existing deck and build a new one with the addition of stairs leading into our back yard. All in all, it was a good experience. Pros: everyone from our initial point of contact through the end of construction was nice and professional; our deck turned out absolutely beautiful, with our neighbours on both sides asking the contractors about it while they were building; the total length of time to dismantle and construct was about 6 working days, which seems fairly average; and they were all very gracious and accommodating with our three big friendly dogs. Cons: the only negative thing I have to say about the company is that their communication skills are a bit lacking. You definitely have to stay on top of it and initiate contact and press them for a start date/updates etc but as long as you are okay with that, I'd say there are no other issues. In each instance where I initiated a question or concern (such as following up on our permit, start date etc) they were generally quick to respond and quick to follow through. Would recommend them as long as you are okay with following up with them as opposed to waiting for them to update you. In the end, all that matters is the job though and our new deck is gorgeous and sturdy.

STAY AWAY. The Deck Guys are NOT TO BE TRUSTED. They will take your money and run without completing the project. I'm out 17k.

We couldn't be happier with our new covered deck. James and his crew were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and we would 100% hire them again. This was a "turn-key" operation as they looked after everything from building permits and inspections to sub-contractors (roof, electrical, paint/stain). We helped with design ideas and that was all. James was very quick to respond whenever I had questions of any kind and was open to any special requests we might have.
We will be enjoying this outdoor space for years and have already invited the crew to come join us for a beverage when they have time.

Despite the challenges of a pandemic and supply chain disruptions, the Deck Guys team completed a beautiful replacement deck project for us. We went from our tired, original deck to a stunning new deck, with roof, lighting, and so many amazing small touches. The whole team were friendly, communicative, and outstanding. We now have a quality deck that will last for many years to come. So happy with the results!
