This winter my 90 year old father's furnace broke down. When I called Hoover's I was pleased to hear that they could send out a technician that day. I soon heard from Mark that my father's furnace required an estimated $700 in parts and labour for repair. The parts would take 3 to 5 days to arrive. After 2 weeks the part had not arrived. I cancelled the order and my father asked another tech for his opinion. We soon found that all that was needed to get the furnace running was to clean the points of the igniter. Once done, it was good as new! I called Mark and requested a refund of the $141.25 payed for their erroneous diagnosis. In time, I was contacted by Pat Hoover who kindly explained to me that it is common practice in the service industry to bill out for diagnostic calls and that I was not overcharged. However, to compensate for this unfortunate incident she graciously offered to donate $75.00 to the local Fare Share Food bank in my father’s name. I immediately apologized for any misunderstanding and accepted her offer with all due gratitude. It's good to know, that in these days of "alternative facts" that there are establishments like Hoover's to make things right!

I work at a local business and there has been 2 separate instances where we have had furnace issues and our office was left with no heat when we arrived in am. Hoover's was very prompt with a response to send someone out to us right away so we were able to continue our work day seeing patients. They were quick and professional.

I had contacted Hoovers when I was looking into buying a new wood stove,I had checked many places I wanted a good efficient stove and found a blaze king at Hoovers home energy. Mark was great very informative,knows his stuff. I needed to do some work to bring the chimney up to standards and Mark guided me through all of it. A lot of companies would have tried to sell me a bunch of parts and installation but not here. The service and prices here are second to none, Mark and Sonya are great I would truly recommend them to anyone. I have had my auto mechanic for years because he is honest and doesn't charge for unnecessary service, this is the same with Hoovers #1 Thanks Hoovers.

Hoover's Home Energy is outstanding. We are 100% pleased with Hoover's work and customer service. We reached Hoover by phone with a real live answer on our first call, and we could always easily reach a live person any time that we called the company. Hoover's came out to give us an estimate quickly, as requested. The Napoleon furnace that they recommended is super fine. We checked Hoover's web site for all the selections before the estimate was done. We selected the Ultimate 9700 series furnace, which is a reasonable $800 more than the Napoleon 9600 series very high efficiency furnace, and which is even higher efficiency than the very high efficiency 9600 furnace. The Ultimate is a heavily built, 4 sided insulated, stainless steel/aluminum/titanium furnace with a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger, 15 year furnace replacement on the heat exchanger warranty, a 10 year parts warranty on parts other than the heat exchanger, self-diagnostic indicators, uv light for removing bacteria, and a built-in convenient interior lighting system for inspecting the furnace. Hoover's installed this furnace on time. Hoover's also put in 2 exterior gas shut-off valves, and ran a line for an external generator to power the furnace in case of a power failure, at our request. We also like the 24 hour/7 days a week Hoover's telephone line and on-call service, if ever needed. We highly recommend this outstanding company. And, the service is very courteous and friendly. Plus, Hoover's performed a super good cleaning of our wood fireplace chimney.

This is the second time I've used Hoover's for work and we're still happy with them. We had them remove an oil furnace that was nearing its end of life and replaced it with a propane Napoleon model. They coordinated the propane tank install and had them run a new line for a gas range with another contractor (Cooper Fuels) in the middle of winter. They also did a WETT inspection for our pellet stove. The technicians were friendly and easy to talk with and it took a day to do. They removed the old furnace, interior chimney pieces and oil tank, and Sonia is very responsive by email with any questions we had. Felt their prices were fair and would definitely recommend their work.

During my addiction my chimney stack was in need of relocation due to where the new roof joined the old. Framing company recommended Hoover's to us so we thought we'd give them a try. The tech who came out stood in our closet while the framing company did all the work. Got a bill for 4 hours of labour (he was here a hour and a half plus a bit for driving), and for parts that were not installed. The job is not completed to satisfaction as they needed to cut around some tin but now i have a huge hole in my attic where i'm not able to put insulation and will cost me more $ to fix

I arrived at our cottage to find that the oil furnace wouldn't start. We called Hoover's and were told that someone was in the area and could stop by that same day. It was less than an hour after the call and they arrived and figured out very quickly that the transformer needed to be replaced. I think he was there less than an hour total and we had heat again. Appreciate the great service and timely response, would definitely use them again.

No one could fix our oil fired hot water tank, 3 companies tried with no luck. A friend suggested Hoover's. Wished I called them first I will from now on.

I've used Hoovers Home Energy several times and every time had amazing, professional service for a great price! Always pleasant and on time! Only company you need for all of your heating and cooling issues.
