A & J Security

We've been with A & J Security for over 5 yrs now. Both in the old house, and now in our new house. Very professional company, and very competitive pricing.

We got the GSM (cellular) unit, so that we don't need a phone line. They were always prompt to respond, and contact us when our alarm would ring (fortunately all false due to family members going into our house without disabling the alarm).

Will be staying with them for a few more years, until given a reason to stop. May install surveillance cameras next.

My husband signed a 3 year contract on behalf of his mother who had Alzheimers - acting as her Power of Attorney for Care. Security was arranged for her home as Alzheimers patients have a tendancy to wander. When she passed away we attempted to cancel their services and was told we could not as it was not the deceased who signed the contract. We were forced to continue to pay for their services for 1-1/2 years until present day when we are now selling her home. Once again we attemtped to cancel their services and were told that the new owner would have to take over our contract (expires Nov. 2013). When the new owner contact A&J they were told they would have to sign a new 4 year contract. Double whammy! Now we are being forced to buy out the contract. My recommendation - do not do business that doesn't have a heart or is as inflexible as this company is.
