So impressed with Robin, Dan and Matt, the "team". We contacted the company, learned about their products and services, and 9 days later we are enjoying a beautifully installed and aesthetically awesome Napoleon Ascent gas fireplace. Nine days! Are you kidding me!! Fast, friendly service, super professional. They helped figure out the best location in our living room and custom designed a built-in installation that looks like it came with the house. All around nice people to do business with. They not only honoured the agreed upon price, but in the final analysis offered a nice discount too. Can't do better than that. Thanks so much.

Price was one consideration when we selected fireplace west (it was lowest) but I was particularly impressed with the positive reviews. The job is now finished and my review is no different. They predicted two days, came when promised, provided helpful advice and the work was neatly and efficiently completed. Thank you Robin for a job well done.

Sign of the times. My kids wanted me to be more environmentally friendly and to change from my wood fire to a gas one. I liked the idea of just heating one area during the winter and besides I was getting too old to be climbing snow banks to get to my wood in the garage in the middle of winter. I was very lucky to find Robin. He has his own business and spent so much time explaining everything to me and helped me pick which one would work best for me having checked out my fireplace. I am so very pleased. Lovely not to have to call a huge company for service or advice. These gas fires really work well.

I was very pleased with the installation. The whole process was very smooth. The fireplace looks and feels great. Robin took the time to explain the maintenance instructions. Definitely recommend to others.

One phone call and he was at our door within the hour. Repair done quickly and efficiently. Got the glass cleaned at the same time. Overall, it confirms that we selected the correct fireplace and installer in the first place.

Our gas fire place would not stay on this morning (Dec 30, 2019). With ice rain, snow blowing and all, Robin told us last year when he came over in ice rain, that the cap on the gas fireplace can become blocked and the fireplace shuts off automatically as a safety measure. Same thing happened today. I contacted Robin in hope that he could help us. He directed me over the phone on how to get it staying on. His instructions were clear and simple and now we have fire. " Give a woman a fish and she will cook a meal for a day. Show her how to fish and she will feed the whole family over the holidays" ;) Thank you very much Robin for the excellent service. I read the reviews for fireplacewest and hired them. The reviews were right. What a great bunch of people. Truly a family business. We wanted two fireplaces changed to gas. One was on the third floor of our house and needed a special gas line installed. Robin found a way although difficult, having to go through a wall. His brother did a fantastic job on the drywall. Work was done efficiently and neatly. He knew exactly what size insert would fit our two fireplaces as they were irregular sizes and even fabricated a surround for one of them. We chose Fireplace West based on their great reviews and full service finishing work. We were not disappointed. Robin was a pleasure to work with, in particular collaborating on a design that would blend with the scale and character of our older home in the city. He is committed to excellence, even returning the week after the job to replace one of the logs because it wouldn’t seat quite right when installed. Dana did beautiful work finishing the mantle and drywall. The work area was kept very neat and we had minimal clean up afterwards as a result. This company is first class, and I would highly recommend them.

Robin was fantastic - a pleasure from start to finish with the installation of both our gas fireplace and also removal of the existing old surround and installation of a brand new beautiful marble and wood trim around it.
