Doug Of All Trades

We had a lot of little and not-so little jobs that needed doing. The ancient wood fence along the back of our yard was decaying. Doug built a new fence, which looks great and will probably be solid 50 years from now. He cleaned the deck so it looks brand new. While fixing a deck board, he went under the deck and discovered a deep hole caused by water leaking from the downspout. He filled the hole and solved the water problem. He repaired the concrete step from the side door. He happened to notice that the foot of the decorative pillars on the front porch were wet and rotting at the bottom, and he fixed those. He did several more of the small handy jobs I can't do.

It's wonderful to have someone who can spot the problems I didn't even know were there.

Doug's work is excellent. He was punctual, reliable, and efficient. He's very pleasant, is happy to explain what needs doing and leaves the place even neater than when he arrived.

Doug did exactly what I wanted - he handled the job from start to finish, with no requirement for me to move things, run around to get the carpet, or indeed put out any effort at all. Actually he came while I was out of town and completed the whole job in a few hours, I could not be more pleased.

We were lucky to find Doug as he was transitioning from a career in building, condo and apartment renovation. He's done everything from replacing ceiling fixtures to tiling floors. For us, he fixed an erratic pot light,rebuilt a broken computer desk, replaced a faucet, and diagnosed & repaired a shower head that had stumped several plumbers. All done quickly, efficiently, and neatly. To our comfort level, he's insured and licensed. I'll be using him a lot and recommending to everyone.
