STAY AWAY!!!
I can't imagine a worse experience, honestly.
They were great for the first few days.
Ritchie was referred by a good architect friend who had used him in the past and i was desperate for my family to move in to our new home. I heard great things about Ritchie from my friend.
One of the reviews here gave him 5 stars in 2011 and i believe it.
But he is a very different man and company now.
After a strong start for a couple of weeks and developing a personal trust, Ritchie ("ray") asked me as a personal favour for most of the payment. I sympathized with his story.

Unfortunately, soon afterwards he disappeared saying he would return, but left so much incomplete. I'm not just talking trim work or painting or minor finishes but major things like electrical work, unfinished drywall, tiling work, the entire kitchen installation, basement left in demolition stage...much more. He has stopped returning my calls since the new year (3 months now).

Yes, it's my fault for paying Ritchie in full but i thought i'd treat him as a human being. He seemed in a pitiful predicament and just needed some understanding and help.
My friend is dumbfounded and cannot believe Ritchie has done this to us. He is encouraging me to seek legal action.

Ritchie knew my situation, my timeframe and that i was willing to help myself. I would even get supplies for the crew from coffees, lunch, to materials. I was very understanding of delays and adjustments to the plans. I was THE most reasonable client any contractor could hope for. So I can't help but feel that he personally robbed me and my family.

I'm going to the better business bureau to see if they can at least warn others in the future.

I have since then hired other trades and have worked myself to get the house to a livable stage but i must say that even the work Ritchie managed to complete is turning out to be very disappointing. I will post pictures.
