Hi Paul, thank you for your review. We are all in a very different world since the start of the pandemic. The entire renovation world, suppliers, transportation and worker availability tend to be upside down, trying to keep up with demand in the marketplace. There is a glass shortage because manufacturing capability can't keep up with the demand. Specialized glass shapes and designs are taking longer than normal because the companies that make that product are overwhelmed with orders.
Your doors took longer than "normal" because we are not living in "normal" times and I appreciate your patience.
We at Fortress Windows and Doors are just as anxious to fulfill our client's orders as they are because we love happy satisfied customers but we can't install products that haven't been produced. Hello Zahir and thank you for your review. We run our business with three words that will always help us do the right thing ... Quality Integrity Value. Your wife complained that she could only open the window slightly and when I looked at it I knew exactly why. You have double sliders and the "night safety latch" was engaged at the top so the window would only open a few inches. When I disengaged the safety lock, the window would fully open and the problem was solved. Some might think I wasted my time going to your home today, but I would disagree! What happened today shows why we have been rated #1 in Toronto for 9 years in a row, it's called Integrity = doing what's right. Will you always remember this experience? I believe you will. Would you recommend us without hesitation to your friends and family? I believe you will ... and I believe that the "good will" I shared with you today, will come back to our company many times over. Hello Junie and thank you for your review. The energy auditors check the windows for air leaks but not "thermal migration". some older windows have years of paint on them and can be very air tight. the challenge is that most older windows don't have the LoE coating and Argon gas which increase the energy efficiency of the windows quite dramatically. Our windows are made to exacting standards and our installers are among the best in the industry. Richard is very professional and knowledgeable and all his clients rave about his service.. we're proud to have in on our team! Thanks again for your business, Steve and the Fortress Team.
