I received a B-tag from the gas company because the threading on the pipe from my gas meter was too close to the wall of my house. (How Enbridge never noticed this in the past is beyond me...)
I called a few different gas technicians asking for a quote to rectify the problem.
Ben was the only one who asked me to send him some photos of the gas line and followed up with questions about the location of the furnace, etc. After sending some photos and answering some follow up questions, he quoted me a price that was at least half of what the two other gas technicians had quoted me.
He also accommodated the need to have the work done quickly (the gas company gives you 30 days to have the work completed before they shut off the gas!) Him and his very friendly employee arrived on a Saturday afternoon and finished the job within an hour.
I'm also a new homeowner, and have never had to operate a furnace or water heater, so he even took the time to show me a few things about how to turn light the pilot light on the water heater, etc. He even noticed that there was a potential problem with the supply line to the water heater and capped an open pipe.
If I ever need any work done on my A/C or furnace, I'll use his services again.
