This is the second time we've had Tiernan repair a major appliance for us. We find him very helpful, fair, honest and professional. We would not hesitate to recommend or call him again. A real gentleman.

Tiernan has done many repairs for us over the years, most recently our watching machine needed a new pump. He knew what the problem was right away. He is dependable and his prices are reasonable. We would recommend him for all your repair needs!!!! He knows his stuff!!

I had an electrical problem, which deactivated my electrical range. I thought I had to buy the new appliance. I phoned the company and explained the problem. Tiernan quickly understood the issue and replied that my range was fine and that it was only electrical problem. He could tell that because he was both an electrician and an appliance serviceman.
After we agreeing on terms, Tiernan showed up exactly when he promised. He quickly fixed the electrical problem and the range was back to life again! I didn't have to buy a new range, so he saved me lots of money on that. What's more is Tiernan charged me for his service 20% LESS than what he quoted me over the phone. I would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone.

Within 15 minutes of phoning Household Refrigeration and leaving a message, Tiernan called back and asked some questions about the nature of the problem, the make and model of the refrigerator, and said he would call back in 10 minutes. Calling back, he said he could repair the fridge, and that he would be over after he finished another job. He arrived before noon, and got busy immediately disassembling the lower part of the fridge in order to defrost the ice build-up. Tiernan outlined that there could be several problems possible, the heater cable, the heater sensor, or the controller circuit board. He determined that the cable and sensor were fine, and did not need to be replaced. He answered all my questions politely and carefully. He installed a new circuit board, and 24 hours later, the refrigerator is working perfectly; and in fact, whatever Tiernan did, he also eliminated some irritating noises that used to occur during the start of a cycle - no more bumps, rattles and loud hums. Thank you Tiernan, you are a master repair-person, and a fine gentleman.

Spoke with Tiernan on the phone a few times regarding our washing machine that was acting up. He was very honest and upfront about both the cost and possible reason of our issue. He walked me through checking the inside of the outter tub to see if I felt something broken and if I did, it was going to be $800-900 to repair and wasn't worth the repair. I couldn't find anything so he made his way over the next day. Couldn't find the reason why I was having issues other than possible overloading of the machine. He told me that the service call would be waived because ultimately he couldn't find and fix the issue. Very respectful and honest. What more could you want!

Very satisfied with the prompt efficient service both times I have needed appliance repairs in the last 20 years. I am relieved that Tiernan was able to identify and remedy the problem and I didn't have to replace the dishwasher.

Due to his top rating, I thought I'd try someone different and called Tiernan. We have two refrigerators and each had a problem. Tiernan is so experienced that within seconds he was able to accurately trouble shoot the problems with both. For our newer fridge, he replaced a part. For the 15 year old fridge in the basement, he told me it was unrepairable but that we could keep it working, and he showed me how to get around the problem to keep it safely operating. It's an otherwise great fridge and we are so relieved that we don't have to go to the trouble and expense of replacing it for a while yet.

I was personally impressed by Tiernan for a number of reasons: His work is tidy, accurate and quick and his price was very fair. He's also completely honest, you get that impression the moment you open the door. And to top it off, he's a very nice man with a lot experience and knowledge that he generously shares. It was a pleasure meeting him today, and when we have a future appliance problem, he'll be the person we call.

I have been using this appliance repair service for a number of years. Tiernan always does a great job in a timely manner. This time he went above and beyond, because not only did he repair my oven, but replace my instant hot water dispenser at no extra charge. I would highly recommend his services.
