House Sale - cleaning and prep

David and team went above and beyond in cleaning my home in advance of a sale, and then further helping to prep it for close. The cleaning job was exceptional - the house literally sparkled from floor to ceiling. And David personally made multiple trips before closing to help clear out unwanted items for disposal / donation, with amazing responsiveness. On top of the high quality work, David was a total pleasure to work with and demonstrated great pride in his team's work. No hesitation to recommend or hire them again!

House & Condo Cleaning

I have used David and his crew four times plus have recommended him to others and can't believe I have never written a review until now. The first occasion was cleaning my house in preparation for showings. David and co. put on booties so they wouldn't mee the floors and started at the top, working their way. Everything shined. What's more they had great ideas for staging my house. They even re-arranged the furniture I had already re-arranged for the showings and brought in a guy who shampoos rugs (for extra $$$). David even picked up a stunning arrangement for my front porch planter.

They came back after I had moved out to leave it clean for the new owners as well as clean my condo after two months of renovations. All the plaster dust was gone, the sinks sparkled, and I could eat off the floors.

This spring I had them back to wash all the windows and light fixtures and ceiling fans.

In all cases, they worked to tight schedules, accommodating me time constraints, were cheerful and even fun to have around. I could relax and now everything was in David's exacting hands. He even has a vast knowledge of furniture periods and antiques and gave me great tips on caring for mine.

My real estate agent now uses David and his team for her clients. He gets an unqualified thumbs up from me.

The cost I wrote in is an average because each job was different. $350 for all the windows -- large and lots of them -- ceiling fans and light fixtures and about $1,000 for two days of prepping my house.

HELP WITH CLEARING

I’m writing on behalf of my friend Marion Jones, who lives in London England and wasn’t able to register on the site.
She writes: “Recently I found myself responsible for clearing a large room in downtown Toronto and David’s name was recommended to me. I had to make quite complicated arrangements from over here in London England – but nevertheless David was always available on the other end of the phone to cope with my out-of-towner questions and requests. condo emptying and cleaning

We moved from our downtown condo and had 25 years of 'stuff' that we didn't know how to get rid of. Some of it was quite good and could be used by others but a lot of the charities want you to deliver the furniture/etc. And we needed our place to be cleaned for the new owners. Called David and his crew. He was FAB! He took away and delivered all the things to charities around Toronto and then made the place 'spic and span' clean. He was prompt & efficient ..... besides which he was so friendly. Would highly recommend David's service.

Emptying and cleaning rooms for a dying relative

I had an elderly relative 2 months ago go through 6 weeks of increasingly frail health and she finally passed away. Since I live in the USA and am the executor of the estate, I had to arrange no fewer than 3 moves for her as she transferred from a 1 bedroom apartment, to a rehab then to hospice. Each time her precious items, clothing etc had to be moved and I could not have done it without David. Not only was he flexible with constantly changing events, but his kind and gentle manner were appreciated during a very stressful time. He often had good suggestions as to where most items could be donated- it was important to my relative nothing be wasted as some of her items had meaning to her. David always had a backup plan for snow days, and each place was left spotless.
I am surprised by one of the reviews that question David's health-- he seemed perfectly healthy to me and I am a physician.

Condo Cleaning & Moving

Contrary to the other review, we have used Extreme Clean Team over a period >6 years including 2 moves. David provides extremely hard working cleaners who a flexible enough to complete all basic cleaning chores while also capable of sorting our closets and drawers (help us throw out stuff - and we threw out/David took to Goodwill! tons of stuff) before a move. He pre-cleaned our new condo before moving in / cleaned our old condo and the team even moved some boxes and cherished furniture items (same building move) - all in the same day! David has helped us clean and prepare for baby showers, and big family dinners (Birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter) by doing a full clean and re-arranging furniture as appropriate for the event. David uses green cleaning products and his team gets into nooks and crannies doing the heavier housework with ease. David understands how a home functions best and set up our kitchen with a logical flow - I think of him and thank him to myself often while preparing dinner with everything I might need within the fewest steps possible from our work areas. Thank-you David! He is also a miracle worker with mirrors - and we have alot of mirrors!
I'm sorry to see such a disappointed client because we have been so pleased with our clean and orderly home for many years. I have recommended Extreme Clean Team to family and friends and have heard nothing but praise from them.

House Cleaning before moving into a new home

Do not use this company. We hired them to clean our newly purchased home on the recommendation of our real estate agent and home staging company. The new home was completely empty when the Extreme Clean Team owner, David, came in to clean for approximately 8hrs. From what we could tell, he and a partner cleaned the floors and windows and wiped down the kitchen cupboards for close to a thousand dollars. We were promised an "extreme clean" experience where the home would be meticulously cleaned from top to bottom and would be left as if it were new. When we moved in after Extreme Clean cleaned our home, there was still toothpaste on the backsplashes of the bathrooms, nail clippings in bathroom drawer,s and grime in the kitchen and laundry room sinks. The kitchen oven was not cleaned (and had a substantial build-up of food grime and crumbs inside), the refrigerator was dirty and was not pulled out to be swept out from behind, ceiling fans and vents were blocked by dust, and tile grout was still stained black and moldy in showers and on the kitchen floor. When we confronted David with our dissatisfaction, he assured us he would return for another 4 hrs to clean what was missed only to cancel on us on the day he said he would return. A few days later when he rescheduled, he showed up 2 hrs late and ended up staying for only an hour and a half. David had many excuses for the many deficiencies of the job he did - the fumes from the cleaning agents he used aggravated his asthma (not sure why he runs a cleaning business then...), he had car troubles when he was late, the partner he used on his first visit was not one of his best cleaners, etc., etc.... My husband and I were left feeling completely duped. With all of our moving costs, that $700 would have been much better spent on something else.
