Gold Star Windows And Doors

I contacted GoldStar Windows and Nick came on the day agreed upon to give us our options and to do the measurements. The quote arrived only one day later, outlining the scope of the work and the materials to be used. I had done my homework and his quote was in the ballpark of what I thought it would cost. True to Nick's word, I was contacted for an agreed upon date to begin the work in the time-frame he quoted.
All work was completed in 2 days and I could not be more pleased. The primary installer Ivan couldn't have been more professional, friendly and helpful. Everything was installed to my satisfaction, all was cleaned up after, and I am very happy with the overall transaction. Would I use them again? Without hesitation..
Nick handled this quote/install for me. The installer Ivan they sent out was great to deal with and handled all my questions without issue. This is my 2nd window install experience with GoldStar Windows, and again it was very positive. They are prompt, return phone calls, and leave the house without a mess. I have another round of windows to install yet, and they're getting my business.

GoldStar was the only company who came into our house to take the window frame measurements and recorded them all to 1/8 of an inch, as is required by our home owner's association; the bonus was that they also quoted us the lowest price! Although we had to postpone our installation date until after the birth of our first child, GoldStar made sure that the installation would be done in December 2012.
Two men Ivan and Sergio arrived to do our install and they did a fantastic job throughout the day. They were prompt, pleasant, and courteous. It was a cold, windy day, and they made sure to close doors in the rooms they were working to minimize the cold air flow through the rest of the house. Despite the busy work schedule the men had that December, they stayed an hour later than anticipated to install the storm door so that they could complete the job in one day. Our existing windows were difficult to remove, but there was only minimal damage inside around the window sills and frames that we easily repaired with Spackle and paint after the fact. The new windows and storm door were installed properly and have not had any issues.

I called GoldStar to get an estimate on vinyl replacement windows. The salesman Nick came same day. He was very low key and very knowledgeable. I decided on the style of window, got the price and ordered the windows. GoldStar received the windows within the time frame quoted. They called and scheduled the installation. The installers Alex and Vlad were very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. These were very old aluminum windows installed in brick. Alex and Vlad did a great job removing the old windows and frames. The new windows were installed the exteriors capped and the exterior and interiors of the windows were caulked. I had a lot of questions and all my questions were cheerfully answered. The windows are beautiful and the installation was super. Everything looks great. I am very particular and I could not be more pleased. A great experience. Thanks GoldStar!

Roman was friendly and professional. He explained the difference between the two models of windows I chose. He calculated the cost to replace 10 windows. Roman made and exceptional deal for the higher quality window. He asked for no deposit but I felt better giving him one. The Gold Star windows came in on time. Due to the holidays and weather, we postponed the installation till the following week. Sergeo, Eric, and Jim arrived on time and begin work immediately, They were joking with each other throughout the day but their underlying focus was always on the work. They were constantly cleaning the window area before and after each installation. During the installation, two potential problems arose, a deep hole above one window and excessive wood in the bathroom window frame. Both problems were solved with ease. Before leaving, Roman inspected all the installed windows from the inside and outside for quality control. I observed Sergeo and his crew throughout the entire installation of the 10 windows and was very pleased with the quality of the work. They did not take any shortcuts. They perform the job right. I'm really pleased with Roman's recommendation to select the better grade of window. They improved the quality of my home. Without question, I would use Gold Star and this crew again. After getting seven other estimates, Roman was breath of fresh air! He came out and brought us a sample of the actual window he was recommending and showed us all the features it had. He answered all our questions and gave us the same discounted price they had offered at the recent Toronto Home Show, which we did not attend. He promised that even if we couldn't afford to do the whole house at once, he would still honor that discount for an entire year. (We plan to do the upstairs in the fall.) He gave us a lot of information about the insulation factors in the windows, actually showed us how they operated. Then, since we were clearly interested he told us he would call us when the windows came in. As promised, 3-4 weeks lated, we gave a call and a team of 3 men Alex, Sergeo and Vlad came and replaced the windows in about 4 hours. They brought in tarps and covered the floors and even vacuumed afterwards. My only compaint was that there was dust on everything throughout the downstairs after they left, but they offered to pay me $100.00 to have the downstairs cleaned. The windows from Gold Star are gorgeous! We are enjoying them so much I still haven't put up any curtains yet! I can't wait to do the upstairs. I highly recommend Gold Star Window!

The install included trim-out for all installations. The people at Gold Star Window took the time to explain the difference in window and glass door construction; what to look for and the differences between higher and lower quality windows. Roman helped us select windows and a door that met our needs and were reasonable in price.
A good price for a very good quality window and door. We initially were looking for a sliding door with an internal blind to block sunlight, mostly due to effects of UV light on wood floor. Roman recommend a door and window option that did not have the internal blinds, but did have a high UV index, so it would accomplish the goal we were looking for. The installer Alex arrived on time and the work was excellent. He had to come back the next day to complete the work, but he left the work area clean between days and cleaned up thoroughly when the job was done.We will certainly use Gold Star for future window needs and would definitely recommend them to others.

My husband and I had been shopping around for doors for quite sometime with no luck. I called Gold Star to ask if they do in home estimates which they do but the gentleman Nick suggested I come into their showroom. They had lots of door styles to choose from and we were very happy with their seletion. We scheduled a time for someone to measure. Sergeo was on time, he worked quickly and was very professional and pleasant. When the order was in, we changed our mind about something and they did not give us a hard time, we dicided not to go with aluminum capping around the strom door. The installers Sergeo and Vlad arrived right at 9am on a Saturday morning as scheduled, they were extremely professional and the fact that we decided not to go with the aluminum capping actually made their job much more difficult because they had to practically build us a whole new door frame, but no one complained. Vlad even noticed our window was not working, so he fixed it for us! We were very impressed with Gold Star Window, the whole experience was pleasant and stress free we highly recommend this company. We are so happy with our new front door and storm door, we also got glass block windows for our basement.

I had 8 windows replaced. 5 were the original 100 year old wooden type, and 3 were 10 year old replacement windows done by another company that were leaking and did not fit properly. They also capped the wood and caulked.
Gold Star Window scheduled an appointment with me at my convenience shortly after I contacted the company. The salesman Roman came to my house to measure my windows, showed me my options, and explained everything about the windows, the installation process and the lead containment law which applied to my existing windows. Another man Vlad came to do the final measurements the following week. When the windows were ready, Gold Star called and told me when to expect them. They were on time, very polite and professional. I was not home while the installation was done, but am very pleased with the quality of the windows, the caulking inside and out, and the capping. They were very neat and I saw no sign of damage to the inside of my house or to my garden area. I had some windows installed last summer by one of the big box stores that I am happy with, but had to caulk the inside frame and some of my wooden trim. Gold Star took care of this work. Also, the price per window was comparable. I am very pleased with the windows, the installation, and the quality of the employees, and would recommend Gold Star company for windows.

I was buying the windows on a Gold Star promotion; Ilia went the extra step of calling to request the credit line be extended and this allowed me to do fully half of my windows in this first phase. Ilia was completely equipped with a "mobile office" and I had computer printouts of my window purchase and my contract before he left. He even had a demonstration window in his car to show my how much the Designer Series had improved in 18 years!
Ilia doesn't do a hard sell and is sensitive to a customer's quirky desires. He had advised me that since I was doing only half the windows at a time, I might want to do complete rooms--But I wanted the instant "curb appeal" upgrade of doing 4 windows facing the street...and a non-contiguous one toward the back of the house where the conventional laminate blind was deteriorating. No problem!
The price for the Designer Series slimshade window is pretty breathtaking, however it included lead paint abatement and pre-painting of the frame (a welcome feature that kept me from having to hire an additional contractor).

Installation Gold Star windows came EXACTLY 6 weeks after ordering, as promised. Sergeo and his able crew arrived 30 mins. EARLIER than promised (how often does THAT happen with a contractor?!) and completed the lead paint abatement, extraction of the existing windows and installation of the 5 new ones in just a few hours. Sergeo and his crew was very clean, and as quiet as possible; they were respectful of my home and took great care to cover a wide area in plastic. Salesman Roman actually called while the crew was on-site to see how things were going.
Upon completion, crew leader Sergeo walked me through how to operate and clean the windows and left the name and number of a follow-up Project Coordinator if any problems arose.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new windows and will be paying the interest-free credit line off A.S.A.P. so that I can recharge it for my remaining 6 windows. Can't wait!
