John repaired switch on older ceiling fan and upgraded wiring and switch on basement light. He was willing to complete these small jobs while maintaining safety and integrity of older home, keeping cost low for a pensioner.

We have used him a few times in the past and he's been great John, quoted a job at an excellent price.
He doesn't always work the fastest but he has always stuck to his quote and the work is done very well.
We have had certifications done on this and other jobs done in the past and this has kept us up to code.

John is a good man. More importantly, he's a good electrician. He's is what he is, he works at his own pace, he'll put in long hours, he'll even borrow your tools, but at the end of the day, his work is done right. He'll even rip out and rewire a previous electricians bad work, all while finishing the job within the quoted price.

This is the first time I have written a review on homestars. I just couldn't let the last reviewers comments stand for the reputation of this man. At the end of the day, the important comment that was made, was "everything does seem to work". I'd rather a job completed that is safe by a man as she described than one that is a potential safety hazzard by a man in a suit and tie. Electricians work with their hands, a little dirt on the collar is to be expected.

The man is highly unprofessional and dirty. I trusted this man because he had done a job for my neighbour and boy do I regret letting him in into our house. The job took forEVER to end and the man was very dishonest; he tried to charge us double and triple what items installed cost, he said he had gotten a permit, which we never saw and we would get an inspector at the end which never came. We were to get a certificate of having had the house rewired, it didn't happened... He has come back to say an inspector will be coming in January. (we will see)I did recommend him once (before I knew better)to someone I knew, because I falsely believed this was a good and honest man. I increased my rating because everything does seem to work and to be fair he did have some good ideas...but it was an awful experience!
