We had several quotes from competing businesses, all were much higher than what Angelo quoted. He came to our house to give us the most accurate quote possible, explaining there might be some variances based on a set of conditions that he clearly outlined. His quote was so accurate, that for our particular move, the final price came in under the quote. To describe Angelo in a few simple words I'd use: honest, trustworthy, personable, professional, and accurate. It was a pleasure to have him and his team move us from Toronto to Waterloo Ontario, in the snow nonetheless. They were also exceptionally considerate of the conditions, and went out of their way to ensure the appropriate coverings were used to reduce post cleaning. They packed our kitchen with great care, we had zero incidents of damaged goods. We also called a late audible and asked for the team to move a heavy kitchen appliance that was not in the original quote, his team adjusted the quote in flight, and moved the appliance without complaint. Bottom line Angelo is a good man, and surrounds himself with good people, from his foreman down.

We had the daunting task of trying to acquire front yard parking in Toronto. Peter and team controlled a number of variables, with their expertise in the front pad parking permit process, and leveraging their close relationships within city services. The landscape design was created with our ideas in mind, but they spun it in a very complimentary way to architect a very modern design with low long term maintenance and beautiful region hearty foliage. The project was delivered within our budget and on time. The Green Apple team that came to implement the landscape design was very well spoken and ridiculously hard working. They worked long hard days and got our project completed in one weeks time. The materials they selected, both plant and hard-scape were of top quality. Peter runs an honest business. We were very lucky to come across his services. We'll use Peter and the Green Apple Landscaping team again for future projects.

We don't live in the property, but our basement tenant complained of mold appearing on the drywall of one section of an external wall in the kitchen. Our minds immediately went to worst case scenario, and we expected to be sunk trying to deal with a wide spread mold issue. We don't have a lot of roots in Peterborough, and found Restoration 1 by chance on google. We had Claudio come in for an initial assessment, he gave us a reasonable quote for the exposure he could see. He reassured us that this particular issue could be contained to the plumbing behind the kitchen sink / cabinets and not as wide spread as what we were worrying about. Anytime you're dealing with contractors or otherwise, in my experience, you've got your guard up, as prices can escalate very quickly. With Claudio he gave us an immediate sense of confidence, which over the course of the project developed into trust. With his initial assessment, we knew upfront what work would be completed. During the execution of the work, he inspected other sections of the external wall, concluding the issue was not from water penetrating from the outside through the foundation, but rather was attributed to a small leak on a poorly soldiered supply line to the sink. This is where our trust of Claudio kicked in. The job could have been made much larger. You always hear about those insurance jobs that balloon, but Claudio kept this centralized to his initial discovery, and kept our costs contained, allowing us to complete the job without going through our insurance. Claudio is a good man, we appreciated the sincerity of how he conducted his business. We'll call him again in the future.

John is a good man. More importantly, he's a good electrician. He's is what he is, he works at his own pace, he'll put in long hours, he'll even borrow your tools, but at the end of the day, his work is done right. He'll even rip out and rewire a previous electricians bad work, all while finishing the job within the quoted price. This is the first time I have written a review on homestars. I just couldn't let the last reviewers comments stand for the reputation of this man. At the end of the day, the important comment that was made, was "everything does seem to work". I'd rather a job completed that is safe by a man as she described than one that is a potential safety hazzard by a man in a suit and tie. Electricians work with their hands, a little dirt on the collar is to be expected.
