Valley Granite And Tile

we had VGT install heated flooring in our kitchen and laundry room, a long arduous process, six weeks! Our floor has cold spots where we notice them most : in front of the kitchen sink when doing the dishes , at the counter where the toaster is, in front of the washer and dryer, below the thermostat ( that was installed in a location of their choice not ours without consultation) at our water cooler ( ice cold there ) and at the entrance to both rooms and various spots throughout the floor. Point being where we would want heat the most, we don't have it :(
We trusted the 'pros" as we had no experience with heated flooring. We told Brad at VGT that we had many cold spots, our answer "the cold shoulder" they suggested we call the manufacturer of the product.

My journey with VGT began with a reno rescue. My previous contractor was substandard at best, I was discouraged and frustrated. Lisa and Brad listened carefully to my story, helped me redesign the spaces to make them functional and attractive.. Their design team worked with me diligently, listening carefully and helping me choose finishes that reflect my personality. Lisa kept me on track and on budget by bringing me back to the present every step of the way.

Brad and his crew were wonderful. They continuously let the project be fluid so that all of my needs were met. They were solid in their approach to the problems, always had great solutions and when it came to fixing what was done before,, well, they helped me find the experts to rectify the DIY hack job from my previous contractor.

We competed a kitchen Reno & found the perfect top for our cabinets. After VGT got our money in their hands, service went dramatically downhill. Our counters were not installed correctly- and the issue was a quick resolve but we were not told about it until the counters with in place, incorrectly. There is a huge gap between the counter & top of the cabinets which we had to get a special piece made for by our wonder kitchen cupboard contractor. We went back & forth with VTG & we were accused by them & told it was all our fault, we knew nothing & we were wrong. Yup seriously, our contractor couldn't believe how we were treated like "dumb house owners" Honestly if you value your money - which you most likely do considering granite is an investment- I would HIGHLY suggest going to another granite company, heck HOME DEPOT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER! At least they would reconcile any issues & treat you with respect.
The office staff at VTG are awful too. You walk in & no one speaks to you & there is one lady who actually uses profanity while speaking....how professional is that?
We have an island that doesn't have granite yet, thank goodness we didn't choose one with VTG, we will for sure be going elsewhere for that!

Please. If you value your hard earned money & you want good work with professionals please DO NOT choose VTG! There are other companies out there with amazing people who do amazing work & treat you with kindness & respect, don't make the same mistake we did!
Thankfully every other supplier used in our Reno was beyond our expectations!

We encountered a problem with the countertop not fitting correctly. We had to make numerous phone calls in an attempt to have the problem resolved. The office staff attempted to justify not resolving the problem by falsely accusing us of being rude and using profanity. We ultimately had to tell them to remove the countertop and give us a refund before they took any action. We have to give credit to the owner and the installer for finally resolving the problem.

We moved into our country dream home two years ago knowing we would renovate the kitchen. It was very stressful choosing the right piece of rock for counter and island. We went to many different suppliers of Granite and Quartz. Valley Granite and Tile in Carleton Place was very willing to send us home with samples. They informed us how to go to the warehouse or online to view the constantly unique and changing slabs.
We had an in home consultation with Julie which was excellent. She took her time to gather all the information about our taste, needs, and location of the kitchen. She pointed out that our kitchen faces northwest and does not get direct sunlight until late afternoon and sparkling White Quartz, will brighten the room. She was right.
Calvin professionally installed the counters and we could not be happier. Friends, family and even other contractors want to pick the "diamonds" out, it’s so bright!! The service was excellent and the price competitive!! We are very happy with the bright, sparkly quartz!

Valley Granite and Tile in Carleton Place far exceeded our expectation of what a company can do to make a renovation a dream come true. The physical store is a visual treat with many different stones on working displays. The manager Lisa gave many options of which one very budget friendly option was to go to the workshop and see if we could find a remnant stone that would work in our
space. We did easily..then the fun began with her designer who literally picked out the colour cupboards,tile, backsplash, waterfall,niche patterns,under mount sinks and PAINT! the completed bathroom is much better than we every imagined. Her installers were conscientious, efficient and on time.This store is a must to visit when you are in the market for stone and/or tile. Thank you Valley Granite and Tile.
