Where to start?!?!
August 16, 2016 we signed a contact to have a door installed at our house from Home Depot installations. Was told that commencement date 9/20/2016 to 10/18/2016. We had 2 different people take measurements 3 times. The 6-8 weeks came and went and no install. November 26, 2016 they came to install the door and sidelights. Big problem, the measurements for the sidelights were not correct. November 28, 2016 we had the service supervisor VB come out and take measurements. He apologized for the wrong measurements and stated that he was going to reorder the sidelights and put a rush on them. He assured us that we would have them installed 2 weeks. We took his word at face value. HUGE MISTAKE!! December 6, 2016 we received an email from KC (project coordinator) stating that “we are currently working on re-ordering the glass for your custom sidelights”. This is already a week since we were promised 2 weeks. A slew of emails back and forth looking for updates on when the sidelights will be installed. Spoke with VB on January 6, 2017 he stated that he will call to advise ETA for the sidelights. Well this never happened. VB never called as he stated he would. Instead January 9, 2017 received an email @ 3:38pm from KC stating that they received an ETA for delivery to their warehouse of FEBRUARY 16, 2016. Seriously!??!?! 6 months for a door and 2 sidelights to be installed?!?!? We have been in contact with Home Depot Customer Care Canada (both by phone and email), JT (Assistant store manager) at Home Depot Curity, Peak Installations and nobody seems to find there is a problem with this installation. Everything has been a PUNT between Home Depot and Peak Installations. We have asked for the matter to be escalated but seems that it has not. Am I crazy and think that this is not right?!?! Is this normal service standards for Home Depot/Peak Installations.
