Engaging Lux Design and their excellent designer Lara to manage the interior
design of our apartment was by far the best decision we could have made.
From the very first meeting to completion she has been nothing but 100%
professional and committed to providing a living space that is not only
practical, but incredibly stylish. Lara listened and took on board all of
our thoughts and wishes and translated them beautifully into a home that
suits our style and living requirements perfectly. Always on hand to arrange
every detail, from fabric selections to deliveries and installations, we
knew we could relax knowing everything would be expertly taken care of. She
was always conscientious of choosing items that worked well within the space
and budget, willingly taking on board my desire for lots of texture, minimal
colour and a brief for "funky but functional". Always committed to coming up with innovative ideas and an eye for detail, Lara was also always happy to
accommodate changes to anything we were not sure about, or when we simply
changed our minds. Our beautiful home would not have been possible without
her talent, endless enthusiasm and dedication to making sure the finished
project was nothing short of perfection.

I found them on HomeStars and on their website they offered a “Condo Quickie” design service so I hired them for doing a floorplan on a 1150 square foot condo. I dealt with Christine and found her very helpful, listened carefully to my requirements and I was very happy with the results. I would use them again.

I hired LUX Design last year to assist with a full renovation of a new house that I purchased. Having never worked with a designer I had no idea what to expect with such a large project, and wanted everything to be perfect. When I approached LUX they walked me through how the process would work, and how they would handle everything from A to Z including planning of the renovation, picking the finishes, furniture and materials and overseeing everything on my behalf. I was skeptical of the finished product since I had some very specific requests like integrating LED colour lighting through the whole home, and wanting a very modern design. LUX put together a design for me that was really unique and I felt they understood exactly what I was going for. As part of my package I received full colour renderings that were invaluable in helping me see past the removal of existing walls, gutting of my outdated kitchen and bathroom and visualizing the addition of closets and new powder room.
When I signed off on the design, LUX essentially took a set of keys from me and coordinated all the work, oversaw work by their contractors on site, looked after having things delivered and set up, and took care of any issues that arose (i.e., fixtures arriving damaged from suppliers, having to build my custom bar on site since prefab would have been too big to get up the stairs, an off coloured countertop (which they replaced within 3 days with no questions asked!)). While the unexpected issues were stressful, LUX proved that they are experts in what they do by making the right decisions and handling everything very quickly for me. The furniture selected was exactly what I was looking for and they seemed to be ahead of the market trends, sourcing a statement light fixture for me that was not yet on the market. To this day, everyone that comes to visit comments on how much they love the design. I am so happy with the work that LUX did for me, I pass along their name constantly to friends and family, and I am happy to put their name on my project.

Just did an internet search to find a interior design company and happened upon Lux. Laura worked with me to do the design of my condo. I thought she did a pretty good job all in all. There were no issues, she stayed on budget and I’m fairly happy with the design. Would likely recommend her to others.

When looking for a partner to help re-design our basement, I took to the Internet and discovered LUX, Their impressive portfolio is what immediately captured my attention, and then I was "sold" on the partnership after a great initial call with Christine and follow-up consultation with Brandon.

Brandon really took the time to understand our needs (looking for a design to both cater to our young family, but also have a transitional feel in the main living space - a mission that I trust was not easy) - but yet, he came back in a very timely manner with a plan that we were thrilled with! While the original proposal was over budget, Brandon did make it very easy by breaking out all the items (and wish list ones) line by line, so we could layer in as we see fit. The furniture and decor recommendations were bang on, and even better than I could have hoped for.

Throughout the entire process, Brandon was always very responsive, and took the time to follow up with us to see how he could be of help.

I would absolutely recommend LUX, and can't wait to do another home project with them again, myself!

I am providing this review for Lux for the design of my 2 bed plus den condo. Our designer, Lara, was amazing from the very start with taking on the challenge of our unusual floor plan and creating a space that worked well for us. In addition to the living room, Lara made great use of our den which was too small to be a usable room by turning it into a functional pantry. We were able to rely on Lux and Lara for all the small details and decisions that come with designing a space which we found very helpful. We started from scratch with the furniture and are very happy with everything that was brought in. We would be happy to recommend Lux services to others. – Kristen F.

I first came across LUX Design four years ago. I had hired them to do a consultation. When we moved into our condo recently, they were the first people I called. They took over the renovation for the kitchen and bathroom and re-did the flooring, all on budget. The trades people were clean, reliable and reasonably priced considering the workmanship quality.

It was a pleasure to work with LUX Design. I wanted someone that would understand my vision, take over the project and get it done in the agreed-upon timeline. This is exactly what happened, but even more than that, the designers at LUX made the process enjoyable. I've already worked with them on two condos and will definitely reach out to them again as soon as I acquire my next one.

When I moved into my first home I had furnished it on my own initially, mostly by buying furniture from the Brick. However I quickly realized that it would have been great to have a professional advise me of some of the pieces prior to purchasing them. After meeting Isabelle and her team at LUX and having a consultation by them, I am sure to hire them for my next home before I step foot in a store on my own.

Having a custom closet has been a dream of mine for some time so I put a lot of thought into choosing the right company for the job. There were a bunch of companies that specialized in closets, but the personality of the designers at LUX convinced me to hire them instead. LUX Design made a beautiful space for me, stayed on budget and always responded to my questions, even on this small project. I definitely recommend them.
