These guys give contractors a bad reputation!

I contracted Sunrise to lay interlock pad and construct cement stairs capped with flagstone in May 2017.

-Work started 2 months after the original promised date, they kept stringing me along and giving me every excuse possible. They're quick to sign contracts and collect deposits.

-I brought to their attention white resin markings on the coping after the install, they told me it will be gone after the winter. I called them in the spring to advised them it was still there, they told me it's the stone company's problem and they're not responsible for changing it. It will cost them 1/2 day of labor to change it. They've washed their hands of it. I've reached out to the stone company and they're addressing the issue. Allan at Oaks has been great to deal with and will be sending someone to acid wash the resin.

-My cement stairs has sagged to one side by 2 inches and several flagstone pieces have come loose. Will and Gary fail to do anything about it, they won't even return a call!

-I was left to deal with badly damaged grass and several damaged sprinklers heads (I even marked them). I was told they would be back to put top soil on the grass, they never came back.

These guys talk about being in business for 30 yrs, but up until recently the dad was running the company. The son's now run the business and obviously can care less about customer service.

Several people complain about the same issue, these guys will not answer calls, txts or emails to address problems or warranty issue. They also don't have a physical address. All reasons to avoid this company and save yourself the headache and disappointment.

UPDATE:
Will decide to call me after seeing this review and wanted to stop by to have a look at the work. He claimed he wasn't going to leave me hanging and would fix what's necessary. It was short notice and I couldn't be home at the time of his visit. He showed up with another person, looked around and left. This was a month ago, no replies to txts or returned calls since.

Disappointed but yet not surprised.

I hired sunrise last summer to completely overhaul my backyard. They did a good job, and gave great suggestions on colour, planting etc...
Fast forward to this spring and I have being trying unsuccessfully to get in trust with sunrise. I have been told by a former employee that sunrise is no longer doing any residential work and are focusing on commercial only. I’m only trying to have someone from the company respond to me and let me know if my 2 year warranty will be valid. Please sunrise call me back or provide me with a number where I can be assured you will honour your commitment to your customers. Thank you

great sales team, As you will probably pick up from the various reviews the sales agents are great. but their work and business motto and professionalism leaves much to be desired. Confirm warranty, and what it entails . suggest visit a few work sites they have completed to make an informed decision-both good review and not so good reviews. Also discuss Dispute resolution and have it documented in case there are disputes.

We recently had some work done to add armor rock to our front yard and along our driveway to act as a low level retaining wall and to have a large flower bed built. The sunrise crew were outstanding in their work and we are very pleased with how it turned out. The price was within our expectations for this type of job. They completed the job in 2 days, and the finish and cleanup was very professional. We worked with William who was fantastic to work with on this project. I came across Adrian from Sunrise Landscape and Design in March when I attended a home show. Adrian came out to give me a quote for all of my landscape work. Adrian was very pleasant professional and knowledgeable. I did receive quotes from other companies and I have to say Sunrise’s price was definitely within my budget. Adrian knew I was a widow and knew that I needed to hire somebody that I could trust that would take care of me. Adrian promised me he would take care of me like he would his own mom and dad. I cannot tell you, Adrian did that and then some. The whole crew were fantastic from beginning to end. The excavation of my back yard and front yard was extremely challenging for them as there were very large roots from trees that gave them a run for their money. They brought in a very large hand saw and had to remove them manually! They went above and beyond the call of duty but they continued and ensured it was done right! All of the crew were so pleasant and so reassuring throughout the whole process. They were all so experienced from the excavation to the installation. I was also worried about my two neighbours. They had to remove some stones/landscaping of one of my neighbours. They ensured me they would fix it all to 100%. They did! They were so neat and tidy it was unbelievable. The end result was fantastic! I give them a score of 10. Thank you very much Adrian and all of Sunrise crew. I would definitely recommend them to anybody.

We are return customers to Sunrise Landscape and Design. We had our first house completely landscaped (front porch flagstone, front walkway and backyard with interlock) we were very satisfied with the work and lived there 5 years with no issues. Access to the backyard to the backyard was tricky as this was a townhouse, but Sunrise had no problems completing the project with limited access, and was very respectful of our and the neighbours property.

We have had Sunrise return to our new home. They completed a front walkway and flagstone porch, and gardens. They will be returning this summer to complete our backyard project.

We were very happy with the customer service and the time taken to explain everything and offer great design advice.
We would highly recommend Sunrise.

They did such a great job on the front driveway (see earlier review) that I had them finish our back Patio. I would "Highly Recommend" Sunshine Landscape & Design. The team was Fast, showed amazing craftsmanship and professional to deal with. We booked a free quotation online and within the week we had a gentleman out to see our yard.

We're new to Milton and had just recently purchased a beautiful home with a lacklustre back yard. Thankfully, Sunrise was able to remedy that!
The staff were extremely professional and helpful both in person and on the phone. We had sample pavers, brochures and rendered design ideas in no time at all.

The installation of the pool itself was magical to watch, turning our yard into an oasis within just a few days. The landscaping, paving stones, water features and lighting polished off the job.

I cannot thank the team at Sunrise enough for their help and support throughout the entire process. We paid exactly what we had expected and there were no surprise costs. The job site was clean and it was like they were never there - besides the stunning pool and patio that they left behind! :)

September 2017, I had the pleasure with working with Adrian, Will and Gary to do some work in our backyard. They were able to turn my idea into reality, it was a new patio that they installed after our deck was finished. They did suggest a better brick based on the design we spoke about and I'm glad I listened to them, the colour is perfect with our deck and shed. The were accommodating and changed the planned date because the deck install took longer than expected.

I will be looking to book them for my walkway and drive way for the summer of 2018.

Sunrise worked with us to design and create our backyard pool and outdoor living space. Teamed up with Barrier Reef Pools, Sunrise did a fantastic job; the ideas that they brought to the design and the quality of work was first rate. They helped to work a design within our budget and were very reasonably priced. Professional work, friendly, courteous people.
