Dubbins Discountroofing

I met Stephen at my gym and we chatted several times. I needed him to fix 2 roofs that some other firm didn't do a thorough job on and was a lot of damage. He gave me the straight goods, showed up on time, did a spectacular job and they cleaned up well. When I noticed something else needed to be attended to he took care of it right away - no charge. After a year and several severe rain storms we have had no leaking for the first time in many, many years. Highly recommended.

Just a warning when it comes to Dubbin Discount Roofing! Steve is not a roofer!
I have waited for him to finish my roof for over 3 weeks ( we are talking about 1200 sq ft, a one or two days work for any other roofing company ) When asked why is he not getting up to do the job, his said he doesn't know what to do! Again, be careful with this guy he talked the talk but does not walk the walk!
If I only read the reviews of his company before hiring him I would not be here now.

My experience with Dubbins is almost exactly the same as the other bad review here by michael. Dubbins replaced my torched on roof in Nov 2012. It was not leaking, but was time to replace. 3 weeks after it was done, my upstairs bedroom office started to develop cracks in ceiling, and all paint started to peel, with water stains. I called steve about 15 times on both his numbers. Over a two month period. It did not rain much in feb and I was grateful. One day an assoc. of his called to say her could come look at it, steve told him to call me. He came, did a quick patch job that did not work, still leaking. Then I called him back, he said, steve owes him money, if you want this fixed you have to pay me. SO I did. He replaced 100 square feet. I now feel that the rest of my roof may not be done to code, although it is no longer leaking. I called steve to ask for reimbursement for the repairs, as Dubbins always gives a warrantee on their work, BUT DONT EXPECT THEM TO EVER FULFILL IT! He has NEVER called me back.They do a terrible job, and are not certified. I deeply regret hiring Dubbins. If I ran my business the way they do, I would be out of business. I am writing this to warn others about hiring them. The only good thing I can say is they cleaned up after themselves. They also replaced the shingles on my and my neighbours front dormers. 3 blew off. The sad thing is, I really liked the guy and perceived him to be honest. My bad judgement, so very disappointed in them.

I hired Stephen Dubbin after he completed a roof project across the street back in early December. He seemed to be tidy when he worked. He checked my flat roof as I knew in the next couple of years it would requiring replacing (10 years old). He said it needed full replacing and charged me $3600. Three weeks later we had a snow fall, and we had a major leak in our house where multiple areas leaked which caused $2000 damage room. I have attempted 8 times to contact Stephen on both his mobile and business number in the last three weeks and still have not heard back.
I had three quotes for my roof from other roofers to repair. All three roofers stated that who ever did my roof was not a qualified roofer as nothing was sealed properly and it would have to be fully replaced again. Since I have had to pay another $6000 to have a qualified roofer replace my roof, plus I still have the $2000 of interior damage. No happy...
