Cabin To Castle

I had a few people refer me to Cabin to Castle and I am so happy with the results! Two of their certified inspectors come out to inspect our my new home before its 1 year warranty was up. The 2 home inspectors took approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours inspecting the home. They went over the report and the things they found and answered any questions I had. I was able to just forward the report to the builder to address the issues. I am thrilled by the overall service and the peace of mind Cabin and Castle brought for us. There is no question I would recommend using Cabin to Castle and I plan on using them again in the future!

We hired Castle to Cabin to do a home inspection on a property we were thinking of buying, the two inspectors were professional and thorough and took the time to go over every question and concern we had. They were honest about the issues and later when I phoned the owner of this company with questions that needed clarifying, he patiently went through them all with me. We felt completely informed and and trusted their expertise concerning the inspection. With the report and the advise we received, we know exactly what we have to do to keep our property in excellent shape.

I would never allow Cabin to Castle to inspect another property of mine! My expectation was that home inspectors would leave my home in the condition they found it. Not the case with the inspectors from Cabin to Castle. They left my home with insulation strewn in the pantry and kitchen which they must have knocked out when they accessed the lower hatch to check the insulation. Pantry items moved around and not replaced - items moved out left on my kitchen counter. On the upper floor they left black handprints on the access hatch. Thermostats were both turned way down meaning we came home to a cold house. A very unprofessional job from my perspective as the home owner.

I recently built a modern style duplex and had Cabin to Castle come in to inspect the homes before taking possession from the builders. The 2 men that came were absolutely amazing. They went through both sides and the basement suite in incredible detail. They noticed areas where the walls had not been properly painted and took pictures of over 10 paint problems that were in the report they sent us. They also notices cosmetic problems on the outside of the house that I would never have seen. Beyond that they took me and my boyfriend through the entire building after they were finished and not only showed us the issues that they found but also told us how to care for our home as it ages. I was a bit hesitant about using the company after reading some of the reviews on this website but after using them personally I think people must be very picky or perhaps just had bad luck. Even our builders were impressed with these inspectors. I strongly suggest them to anyone and everyone buying a new home.

I would strongly discourage anyone from using Cabin to Castle for their home inspection. In our experience, while they may be friendly, they are inconsistent, lack the appropriate level of knowledge / expertise and then will assume no accountability or responsability for their work product. We retained CtC for our home inspection when we purchased our property. When we went to resell it 5 years later, CtC was retained for the inspection and came up with a list of things that either should have been found in our first inspection (alleged issues with HVAC, venting, etc. which did not change in the intervening 5 years) or that were not actually issues. When we contacted CtC to bring this to their attention, we were advised that many of the issues identified in the 2nd report weren't actually issues and that the inspector was just making recommendations that a follow up by an expert would have shown were not actual problems. We were also told, amongst other things, that CtC contracts out the inspections to subtrades (not employees), and that CtC can't control differences in inspections. At this point, we will be following up with actual experts to see if they are misleading us (and these things are potential issues requiring attention that should have been found in the first inspection) or if they were misleading / inaccurate with the potential purchasers in their more recent inspection by identifying items that were already up to code and not actual issues. Either way, there are some very knowledgeable, professional and thorough home inspectors out there, use someone other than Cabin to Castle.

Very bad service over all that I will not come back and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The inspectors ignored a major stucco cracking on the wall and water damage to the wood structure, when our friend has identified and trying to ask them look into it. They reported the house was in good condition with small issues and we put in our offer. It turned out to be a major issue cost over $30,000 to repair. Owner has no interest of apologize or do anything about it.

We have used Cabin to Castle before and will use them for all our future inspection needs. John attended with two of his inspectors, Majd and Alex. They were all very professional, personable and most importantly very knowledgeable and made us very confident in purchasing our new home. The inspection report was ready same day and emailed to us right away, a great support to the walk through at the end of the inspection. Would rate them 20 out of 10 if I could.

Excellent services and detail walk through inspection for a 1945 cul-. de-sac location house I recently purchased. Two inspectors and spent 2.5 hours to inspect the property. Not to mention that I have very limit knowledge to house structure, material and electrical..They were very patient and explain to me little by little. I highly recommend this inspector, Cody
