Wallace and Fleming completed a major renovation of our home which included raising the roof, adding an additional bedroom upstairs, gutting and rebuilding an existing bathroom below the new bedroom and reinforcing the foundation. Their people skills and communication skills were highly valued and appreciated, especially during the inevitable inconveniences and puzzling situations that occur with such a project. Although, in hindsight, it would have been much easier on everyone (our children and Wallace and Fleming included) if we had left the premises during construction, the site (which was essentially our living space) was cleaned up at the end of every day and all efforts were made to try to keep out "old man winter" which was quite a challenge. The trades were exceptional; from the demolition crew to the electrician to the roofers. A special thanks to Memo...a man of incredible talent who was focused, professional and kind; always going above and beyond the call of duty.

Cochise "Coach", the site manager, was knowledgeable and professional; always available for questions and concerns. His approachable manner was a leading factor in our satisfaction with the execution of the project.

The entire renovation required more time than initially planned and came in over budget which was not surprising given the complexity of the project. Wallace and Fleming consistently anticipated changes in cost and kept communications open and clear.

We are, ultimately, very pleased with the final project. Our home has turned out beautifully and friends and family are continually impressed with the transformation.

Wallace Fleming did a great job developing our unfinished basement. Their quote was detailed, and they took the time to answer all of our questions before the project started. During construction, they were very good to work with, always friendly and responsive. The construction manager came to check the progress and work after each step/trade was complete. Wallace Fleming was quick to address any problems that arose. With small kids in the house, we really appreciated that they took the time to clean up every day before they left and made sure that all of the construction was contained in the basement. We highly recommend them.

This was the second project for the renovation of a 1950's bungalow.
At the start, the scope included gutting and replacing the bathroom,
refinishing the hardwood floors, replacing doors and skirting boards, and painting the entire upstairs. Shortly after work began, we decided to replace the kitchen as well. Wallace Fleming took this sudden large addition in stride, and while of course it did affect the end-date, they were able to juggle the changes very well. Once again, communication was good, as a few more old-house discoveries were made and dealt with. We encountered some issues with the painting, and with a kitchen counter, which were sorted out professionally and well. (As we never doubted they would be.) In the end the new kitchen and bathroom are great. The hardwood is simply amazing (people comment on the floors when they walk into the house). It looks, from the inside, like a new house.

Our family worked with Wallace Fleming for a second time, a complete demolition and rebuild or our condo’s kitchen.

Renovating a small space brings on all kinds of stress, however I can say that confidence in the projects workmanship and schedule was never one of them. They were very upfront with the duration of the project and pricing. The quotes were very clear and covered all aspects. When we had some complications they brought us confidence that these things could be handled without a negative impact on our vision. The trades they used were all conscientious that we were still attempting to live in the space and kept things as clean as possible. But really it was the individual trade’s attention to detail that ensured we were happy along the whole process.

Also of note, every change was quickly documented and presented in a change order.

We would and have recommended Wallace Fleming to others for their needs. We hope to use them again for our next project as well.

Wallace Fleming did a created a great floor plan that captured what we had envisioned. The quality of workmanship and materials was very high. They always pointed out potential problems and had solutions they could do if we agreed. They never went ahead and did work that we did not approve. We are very pleased with the finished product. Wallace Fleming answered all of our questions. They were friendly and easy to work with. I have no reservations in recommending Wallace Fleming.

Each renovation comes with its own unique bumps in the road and ours was no exception. Anyone who has been involved in a renovation or has been thinking about one and has been watching the shows on television knows that issues always arise unless your renovation is a rare exception. As with most renovations, our surprises began at the demolition phase and kept coming. Wallace Fleming would discuss with us the options on how to deal with the issues that arose, the costs associated with each option and what the result would be. It was always our decision in the end as to how to proceed, they were there to provide us with the information so we could make the informed decision. What impressed us most about Wallace Fleming is their desire and drive to continually improve. They always listened to us and responded in a prompt manner, but in addition, they incorporated our feedback into changes in the way they operate. Wallace Fleming brought our renovation in on time and on budget and the final results are breathtaking!

We hired Wallace Fleming and Associates to do our main floor renovation after interviewing a few other contractors. The team at Wallace Fleming was very professional, punctual, and even completed the work ahead of schedule! They had a few excellent and practical suggestions for us which enhanced our reno without contributing to a huge cost increase. We are very pleased with the outcome and are planning to hire them again to finish our basement.

We had Wallace Fleming renovate our unfinished basement. They put in two bedrooms and a storage room (we had had a bathroom built previously). The finished product is beautiful! I have had many comments on the look and quality of the work, and we are very pleased. I was particularly impressed by how much care they took over what was, relatively speaking, a smaller renovation. They were very respectful of our budget, and warned us about any extra expense well in advance. Their workers were friendly, patient with questions from curious children, and always cleaned the site well. All communication was clear, and any concerns were quickly dealt with.
