We purchased a beautiful dining room table from this company, prior to moving into our new build. It was not a "cheap" purchase, by any means, costing around $2000 for just the table. We were totally willing to pay the price. Fast forward to delivery. It came, looking just the same as it did, the day we picked it out (yay!). Fast forward to having our first "meal" at the table. This table is in our formal dining room and so, not somewhere we eat often. Water... simple condensation from a water bottle, stained the table, in a couple of locations. I was devastated and also extremely confused. Paying that much money, for a DINING table, we assumed it came ready to go. I phoned the company and explained my situation and was told it "should have come protected with a wax" by one person and "no none of our furniture is protected, that is up to you" by another. I was also told, that by applying the wax or oil, can ulter the colour of the table (this was months after the purchase). Firstly, if I was told it was unprotected, I wouldn't have spent the money. I would have gone somewhere and purchased something that was appropriate to eat at. Secondly, if I was told the colour would change and go darker by protecting it, I would have looked at a lighter table. I have NEVER heard of a company selling something (aside from a cheap furniture company--that you pay $400 for a table) that is not protected or ready for use at the time of purchase.
Long story short, I now have awful water stains on my table, that we can't use until we have someone come out and properly protect it for us. And the customer service, has been AWFUL. They have not got back to my emails, said they would contact us by phone and have not and all in all are just not willing to correct the situation. We still have 4500 sq ft to furnish and this company will no longer get our business. Terrible customer service and truly not quality furniture.
