We had a problem with some water on the floor in our basement. The area that was wet was in around where the main drain is. Wanting to fix the problem before it became any bigger, I searched HomeStars for a plumber. There were a number of highly rated companies that all had about the same pricing. Usually I have 3 companies quote so I can be sure to get the best company for a reasonable price. But right from my initial call to A Marco Plumbing (Durham location) I knew that they were the right company for the job. My first contact was with Sharon. She was able to answer all my questions about having a camera inspection done from our house to the sewer line at the road. She was able to give me estimated cost over the phone, which included snaking the drain if needed. We booked an appointment for a time that suited our schedule. When Phil arrived we found him to be very polite and professional. He explained what he was going to do, in terms we could clearly understand. He showed us on the camera the areas in the drain that would be a problem. We agreed to have him snake the drain and before we knew it he had completed the job. Hopefully we will not have any further issues with the drain, but if we do we will definitely call them again. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for superior service and workmanship, at a competitive price.

We had a tap burst in our main floor bathroom. I was very impressed with Brad. He came out to our house on a Saturday night within 30 minutes of our call. He installed shut-off valves under our sink, as there were none, and we could not turn our main water supply back on without these. He was done the entire job in less than an hour. Thanks again Brad.

Brad was exceptional. He stayed in touch with us by phone through the day - explaining when he would arrive. Very punctual and very pleasant. Friendly and very competent assessment of our problem and then carefully repaired.

We had a couple of major clogs backing up the works and flooding the basement. A Marco Plumbing (Brad specifically) were quick, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, and got everything sorted out in short order. Exactly what I was hoping for called them up.

We had a plunged toilet or potentially a plunged main drain as the bathtub was also backing up. A Marco Plumbing came immediately and within the time frame they had stated. Mark arrived and was professional, courteous and respectful of our home. He had the problem identified within seconds and went about taking care of the situation. Not only did Mark fix the toilet drain but also recommended future drain maintenance to ensure we did not have this problem better. Would highly recommend Mark and A Marco Plumbing.

We were doing pretty large scale renos on a new house and (naively) didn’t think we'd need a plumber.

When we hit our first snag I found A Marco on homestars and Sharon sent Mark over within a couple hours. When he discovered the city curb stop had an issue Mark went to bat for us, saving us potentially thousands of dollars.

We were so impressed that we asked them to plumb a new bathroom for us. Brad & Mark did an amazing job installing our fixtures - 4 jets/rainshower/wand/mixer in the shower and a fussy English tap-set that required alot of skill and patience to install. We are thrilled with the results.

Since then Mark has been back to install an Aquatrip unit for us ( whole home leak detector with an automatic shut off for the main valve). I love it for the peace of mind. Being able to run the dishwasher at night or run out during a wash cycle without worrying is great and I wouldn't have done that before getting one of these things.

I highly recommend this company. Sharon, Mark and Brad are a pleasure to work with.

One person came, in timeframe stated over the phone, and was courteous. Cost was a little high, however I had just turned away a very insanely priced quote from another plumber so it seemed a little more reasonable in comparison.
After completion the hole from the outside to the inside did not get sealed or covered in anyway. We are left to seal the hole and cover it ourselves. For the cost it would have been nice to have it completed.
As you can see the pipe is fixed but looks unfinished. and hole around it is open to the elements.

Had the main waterline leaking in the basement. After seeing all the positive reviews for A Marco Plumbing I called up and Mark was extremely helpful and set up the appointment for us. Brad was our plummer and he was punctual, very informative and extremely efficient. He took the time to explain about the repair and even put in an extra shut off valve for us. I would not hesitate to use them again and would definitely recommend them to family and friends. Great job!!

An Emergency leak, Brad was the ONLY company who actually cared that I had an emergency!! When he arrived at 11:30pm, he was kind, polite and very professional. Customer service is excellent and his knowledge and know how exceptional!! FAST, EFFICIENT, GREAT PRICE!! This is a professional, REASONABLE, and very efficient company, Don't waste time calling any where else. THANK YOU SO MUCH BRAD!! I have had several other jobs done since that leak, I trust Brad.

We had a pipe leak in our basement and noticed it around 8:30 pm on a Saturday night. This was something we needed fixed right away. Called A Marco and Troy came within 1 hour and fixed the leak. I liked that they provide free estimates and didn't charge me double and a half for an emergency call. Maybe I paid for it in the repair bill, but it was nice to have the leak fixed that night. Troy was helpful, professional and very courteous. Definitely will use them again.
