Sears Roofing

within 2 months of having the work done shingles started curling and lifting got hold of sears rep.came out and had a look at which time we were told BP discontinued this shingle and the warranty was crap.Iwould not recommend sears to install anything as they do not stand behind the warranty which ended up not being worth s***t.

This was the worst mistake of our lives and every time I pay the bill I will remember this. Our roof looks terrible, mistakes made. Contractor boss came out very rude. I am not happy and can not take it back. The sales person who came over said this roof will last you for a long time. That is a sales pitch do not fall for it. Go to some other company, or do it yourself. I will never buy anything else from sears ever as long as I live.

I got Sears to install new shingles on my roof in 2011. In 2012 already I noticed a leak in the garage. Wasn't sure if it was from the previous owner or a new thing as I only saw the stain.
Finally caught it leaking water and took pictures of the leak this year 2014 in August.

I had several estimators and they showed multiple mistakes made during installation: improper shingle/flashing, architectural shingles were laid down in a wrong pattern (apparently these need to be laid down in 45 degree pattern, they laid them down just like plain rectangular shingles).

They don't even have anyone in Ottawa area any more, I had to call roofers to take a look and give a quote.

The representative still refuses to pay for the repair even though I have 10 year roof leak warranty.

Never again. Even if they still had the service (no wonder they stopped installation service in Ottawa area).

Roof done in April 2011. We chose Sears because of the name and warranty. HUGE MISTAKE. The shingles started lifting and curling after less than two years. Several phone calls, many broken promises over the last six months. We cannot get someone to even look at it. A sign will be going on our lawn tomorrow stating "crappy roof by Sears".

2004 Sears replaced our roof with BP shingles. They are literally falling apart. Called Sears and they informed us we are "on our own" even though our warranty should cover replacement (no charge). We are replacing our roof again - NOT WITH SEARS!!!! Very disappointed.

Stay away from Sears. I needed to replace the roof, and Sears representative promised a lot. Service is poor, project coordinator is never available, the job is not completed, I wait for two months for answers, I have heavy leak, no insulation, no permit for job, which was needed. Horror. Never go for their promises. very disappointing and unprofessional.

Our 20 unit townhouse complex contracted Sears to replace our roof, gutters and skylights. The work is over 50% complete and we are very happy with their service and quality of work. There have been some glitches, as expected in any project this size, but they have been excellent at rectifying!!! I have referred them already to other projects. Jonathan Ross is EXCELLENT!

Sears Roofing is very bad!!!!! You just cannot trust them. We have 20 Unites and pay around $18000 per unit to get our roof and skylight all rebuilt. When our project started, we already got this mail posted on all our door saying Sears Roofing is bad and their horrible store how Sear Roofing Screwed Up their roof. After they finished our roof and just in a month, our roof got the heavy leak from the skylight window and ruin all our wall and door of our entrance. It is been almost 3 months and Sears Roofing still not do anything and they already charged us for our roof for 3 months already. We pay them every month $600 for the ruining place. What a fair!!!! What I knew from this is they contract out roofing job to some cheap company, and when issues arise, Sears just blamed the contract company and not taking the responsibility. If you are thinking to change your roof, don't consider them, I believed it is not only us suffering their bad service!

we called around and best place was sears. The reason is because they offered a zero percent financing on the roofing project to pay it up for up to 3 years. no other competitors was able to offer us that at the time.

Overall the work was wonderful and we trusted the name sears for their reputation and craftsmanship.

contacted several contractors for quortes and Sears was the best, with the warranty they offered good deal. Decided to use Sears based on dependablity and solid commitment to quality and service. Contracted team was excellent, they did the work and all was satisfactory. Highly reccommend Sears if you need your roof redone.
