After purchasing our home this summer we found that no matter how low we set the air conditioner the main floor would be a great temperature and the second floor would still be hot. As the days got cooler so did our second floor. Again, no matter how warm the main floor was, the second floor was cold and we would have to turn the heat way up at night so that our new baby wasn't too cool.
After a couple of weeks we called a few places to get estimates for adding insulation to our attic. Doug came out, had a look around, and informed us that our attic actually had bare spots where there was no insulation at all. He also discovered mold on our attic hatch and another issue with our insulation blocking the soffits (or something of that nature). Anyway, he was very knowledgeable and friendly and gave us a quote. Although he wasn't not the cheapest quote (only higher by $200) he was the only person to point out the mold and include rebuilding the attic hatch in his quote. I also just got a good feeling about him and the work he would do.
Doug came the day he said he would at the time he said he would. He brought lots of drop sheets and covered all of my floors. He and his co-worker were very friendly and did a great job letting me know what they were doing as they went. They also did a quick vacuum as the left. My only complaint would be that there were, and still are, little bits of insulation stuck on my driveway, which given the wind and rain that day, I'm sure couldn't be helped.
Overall we are extremely satisfied with the work and noticed a huge difference that night! We now can turn down the heat at night and still keep the upstairs warm and cozy for our baby to sleep.
Thanks Doug!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review Lisa. As I said at your home I typically do not make any guarantee as to how much difference an upgrade will make but in your case would have been completely shocked had you not seen a large improvement immediately. Sorry for the insulation in the driveway, yes we did try to get it picked up but the rain was working against us. Thank you again, Doug
