Stan Bernard Carpentry No Longer In Business

Stan is amazing!!! Before installation, he got an outside opinion in order to find the best course of action. Two of our windows were quite large and previously installed incorrectly. He does amazing work, is very cost effective in sourcing out materials and is super friendly. Our son loved watching him work and he worked in a manner that was least disruptive to our household. Our son even slept through his nail gun!! We would not hesitate in recommending Stan for any projects and will be contacting him for future work at our home. Thanks Stan!

Stan worked extensively to help us "finish" our log home restoration. He did just about everything in our home from renovating the bathroom, to making trim unique to the time period, to doing the soffit/fascia and siding. He was always punctual, pleasant, and efficient. He was easy to communicate with and also gave creative suggestions throughout the process. He was professional and his rates were very reasonable. We will have Stan back for future projects for sure!

This is a long overdue story. Our company has had Stan do extensive office maintenance and renovations over the past few years. His work and pricing have at all times been to the highest standards. Based on this, I hired Stan to construct a very complex 1000 sq. ft. cedar deck around a 15' x 30' swimming pool. As part of the deck needed to be built under an existing gazebo 5 feet above ground level, with complicated stairways leading onto the deck, craftsmanship and creativity were vital. Yes, Stan is professional, runs a very clean work site and is extremely pleasant to deal with, however he is most importantly very skilled at what he does....and very meticulous. The end result was stunning.

Stan was prompt on the agreed start date and finished the job efficiently before moving on to other customers. He provides good advice, has excellent workmanship and keeps a neat job site.

We have hired Stan a few times now to do drywall work as we have extensively renovated our old stone house. We have had several drywallers do work for us over the years but Stan has done by far the best job. The finished product is always excellent, he keeps the job site tidy and cleans up thoroughly at the end of the day and he is pleasant to have around. We feel his pricing is fair and he is willing to share pointers about follow-up painting that I do myself. We would definitely hire him for our next project.

Stan and his son Michael worked (very hard) along with his wife, Angie, on our landscaping project. He laid paving stones and built us a beautiful arbour over a walkway into our back yard. When the project was finished, all mess had been cleaned up and tarps neatly folded. His work is excellent and his prices are definitely reasonable. I would highly recommend him for any home project and also his wife, Angie, for your landscaping needs.

I hired Stan to tear off layers of old roofing and replace it with new asphalt shingles. I live in Ottawa while the house to be re-roofed is in Spencerville, so I worried, needlessly, about not being there while the work was going on. Stan's estimate for the job was thorough and accurate. He kept the site clean, and free of roofing nails, so the neighbours had no complaints. The quality of his work was impeccable. He showed initiative and creativity in the way he solved some problems. I was delighted with the result. He did superb work. He's a good communicator, which made it easy to deal with him, at the planning stage and throughout the project. I was able to trust him completely, and I would recommend him to anyone. He's a skilled and talented craftsman, who gave me MORE than my money's worth.

We renovated an existing addition to our home which incorporated drywall, pine wainscotting. As well the exterior changed from siding to board and baton to complement the garage. A great job!
