trying to get door handle fixed
This was the name of company recommended by the super at our condo after the locking mechanism to the door handle to our balcony broke. We chased after these guys for almost a week after they came ( a couple of days after they said they would) and removed the door handle, leaving us unable to use that door. (While there are two French doors, this is the only one that has a Phantom screen that we can use to keep the bugs out.) They would never leave us messages or call with any updates. When WE managed to make contact with them, they were not very helpful, saying only that they were trying to locate a replacement part. Finally, after we called them again, they said they could not find the part, and later left the door handle at the concierge. They didn't even put the broken part back in - which would at least given us a door handle, if not a door handle that locked. I was livid at this lack of service, and called back to complain. The guy I talked to, Chris, was quite belligerent. He said there are no handle parts to be found for that door in Toronto, and just left it at that, hanging up on me and saying I could deal with the situation. I guess he was offended for us taking him to task and thought I was supposed to thank them for not charging us for looking for the part, yet never getting back to us to keep us updated or offering any real service. When we contacted the condo management again, which in turn contacted the super for the building, we found out that the super indeed had a supply of these door handles. A simple call from Suddden Impact to the super - the guy who recommended them - would have solved the problem quickly. So, this is just a warning to others that these guys do not offer professional, polite service, at least to small-job customers like us.
