KNT Electric

After we bought our century-old home in Toronto, one of our first orders of business was to finish updating the knob-and-tube. We got quotes from a few electricians and while KNT Electric's was on the higher end of the spectrum, we were won over by Bill's professionalism and attention to detail. He impressed us by performing a thorough and thoughtful assessment -- walking through every room, taking detailed notes, and asking lots of questions (this was a major contrast with another electrician we invited over, who took a quick look around before declaring he had seen everything he needed to see). Bill promptly provided us with an incredibly detailed quote, with a thorough breakdown of the costs.

Bill and his crew worked quickly and were pleasant to be around, making sure to clean up at the end of every day. Bill was also always available to answer questions by phone or email. I liked how he laid out all of the the worst-case scenarios up front (he says he only wants there to be 'good surprises') and would make helpful suggestions for improvements/fixes without being pushy. Even after Bill completed his job for us, he continued answering my questions by email and even came by a month later to decommission a plug that we later decided to get rid of.
