Elite Appliance Service – Toronto

This company has hands down the worst customer service of ANY service company I've ever worked with. Unfortunately I have had to work with them repeatedly as they are the only company in Toronto that services our stove (Capital - came with the house - should have just thrown it in the garbage!). We have spent a lot of money over the years on this stove and have never once had a positive experience (never get back to us, don't follow up on anything, can't even quote the price for a part). Most recently, the convection button on our stove won't stay on. We explained that before they came. When they came they needed to order a part and said they would have it in about a week. 2 weeks later, no news, I call back, wait on hold for over 30 minutes to be told that they can not reach their parts department or look up whether a part was ordered on the computer. She was going to have to call the parts department, who would call the ordering department who would call Capital to find out about the part (a small 25$ part). It will take about 2 days. One week later, still no news. I call back, wait 45 minutes on hold, to be told that she called the parts department, but the part hasn't arrived. She will call me later today or tomorrow with news about where the part is and when it will arrive. I am not holding my breath. I cannot wait, we are moving in 2 months and will never have to deal with Elite again. I gave them one star (as opposed to 0) to acknowledge the fact that Capital bears some of the responsibility for the problem.

The service technician was excellent but the company gouges for parts and labor, so I won't be calling them again. They charged $65 for a part I could have purchased online for under $10, then charge $159/hour for labor and even if the job takes less than 30 minutes you're still billed for an hour. On top of this they charge a $25 downtown surcharge and expect you to pay for parking on top if this! Parking fees should be included in this outrageous surcharge!

Unbelievable. After having to wait almost a week for a repair appointment (which I have to take half day off work for), the technician after 40 minutes replaced the electrical board, then proceeds to tell me I need to replace compressor - which he doesn't have in the truck !!??!!! And now I'm waiting for them to call me to schedule another appointment to replace compressor - another 1/2 day off work. The technician told me for every compressor repair they need to come out twice ! Unfortunately my fridge is LG and I have to use a certified servicer so I'm stuck.

I called Samsung about an issue when I selected Hot water, I was getting no water and getting 4E error.

Unfortunately, the issue was forwarded to Elite Appliance. Elite Appliance technicians visited 3 times and change numerous parts over a 1.5 month period. I had to take 3 days off from work for this issue to be fixed.

Last visit, I told the technician that I was fed up and better fix it this time. The technician told me to use Extra Hot (which will use on-board heater) and you may get warm water for cold.
Technician didn't show me the fix, he walked away.

When I tested the machine, I was getting COLD water for all the water temperatures ( HOT, WARM, etc...)

Now, Elite Appliance is saying that the issue is fixed but there is no HOT water on my washing machine.

They also want to consider this as a new issue.

Samsung is useless, whenever I called they kept forwarding me to Elite Appliance. The issue is Elite Appliance.

Samsung customer service is horrible, in line with Elite Appliance.

AVOID Samsung products all together. You don't have an option on Elite when you are dealing through warranty, just be careful .

Called Elite because we had multiple appliances with problems. They overcharged us for the initial visit and then precharged us for replacement parts. We called multiple times to find out when these would be repaired and finally 3 weeks later were told they couldn't fix anything because they couldn't get any parts. Again, we found out because WE called THEM. They refunded the cost of the parts and the amount they had originally overcharged us but wouldn't credit us the initial fee. It cost us $150 and three weeks of our time and we got nothing accomplished. I would never call this company again. Trying to get them on the phone is virtually impossible and they weren't able to perform our repairs. I'm now purchasing the parts through the manufacturers myself and doing my own repair. What a waste of time and money!

Called Samsung to fix a new fridge that was not producing ice andwas put in touch with Elite who sent a repairman. After initial assement he had to return 4 times to fix parts that kept breaking.
Ask Samsung to replace new fridge after new parts kept breaking but they gave me a runaround. Elite serviceman was professional and friendly and kept fixing the diffenrent parts as they broke

144087. I previously had a repair person come and advise me my ice maker was broken and needed replacement. For a 2 year old fridge, I was not buying it. I called Elite (who came recommended from the retailer). They were prompt, the technician was very knowledgable and doubted I required a new ice maker. He checked it and sure enough, it worked fine. My fridge was cleaned and adjusted. The original ice maker was reinstalled and everything is working like new again. This saved me approx. $175 for the part. I would recommend Elite and not hesitate to contact them again.

My dishwasher lid wouldn't close anymore. I called into Elite Appliance since they are certified to repair LG appliances. Installer came 2 days later and was pleasant and knowledgeable. He replaced the soap container in about 30 minutes and answered my questions regarding what the best soap, etc.. to use with my type of dishwasher.

I have no problems recommending them.

I phoned about a problem with our fridge. They scheduled an appt within 48 hours. The technician arrived at the house during the designated time. He was knowledgeable and polite and pleasant to deal with. He was also very respectful of our property in terms of the care he took not to damage anything while working. I highly recommend this company.

I was very happy with the service I received on my Viking refrigerator for the following reasons:
1. Technician was familiar with the appliance and knew what he was doing (I had had problems with poorly informed techs with other service companies);
2. The tech trouble shooted to find the most economical remedy to the problem first;
3. Communication was by e-mail so I was notified when service would take place and I had receipts of my invoice;
4. Service was punctual;
5. Tech was friendly.
