I hired Home Pro Exteriors for an eavestrough cleaning deal through a Groupon deal. I booked a morning-to-noon appointment. The cleaner/rep did not show up on time so I called their office who said he was running late but promised a time in the afternoon but would call an hour before arrival. I had to call their office twice when the rep blew through two of promised delayed times. The office did not even bother to call me to tell me how late the rep would be or to check up on the appointment. In fact, the Toronto office closed shop and went home before the rep showed up to the door. I called their main office but they had no way to contact the rep and no one was at the Toronto office to cancel the appointment.
The rep eventually showed up 9 hours late without calling. I asked him to go home. Saving money through Groupon is one thing but not at the cost of horrible customer service. I wasted a day for about $20-30 savings. Not worth it.

- Overhaul their customer service at the Toronto office. Don't over-promise and under-deliver. Have your office call to ensure your rep has shown up or called to inform a client of a delay. It's not rocket science.

- Get some assurances from the company that they will call you if there are delays. If they don't follow through, cancel at the first opportunity. Is it worth your time?

We do apologize for any time of yours that we may have wasted. As a Home repair company sometimes it makes more sense to go ahead with extra work needed on the day of the original cleaning/appointment/estimate . This as well as GTA traffic can contribute to delays. When this happens we offer to do the work as soon as we can get there and do not require you to be there so as to let you go about you daily schedule.
