After moving into an older home and suffering through a winter with its flimsy windows, we asked Dmitri to estimate and help us decide on replacing at least one floor's worth of windows in addition to replacing two wooden doors. Dmitri helped us budget with their competitive rates. Their installers were prompt and worked hard to finish quite the task within one day without skimping on any details. A different contractor even mentioned that they didn't cheap out with their exterior sealant for the window frames (which he said some companies often do). Near one door frame that was being replaced, they uncovered a masonry issue and were unable to completely seal the unit. Rather that patch over a deficiency of the house, they informed me of the issue. They came back promptly after my mason came and resolved the problem and finished sealing the door frame without any additional charge. Galaxy Windows and their team put effort and pride into their work. In addition we have noticed an marked improvement in heat retention and really are thankful during the recent ice storm that the windows and doors were so well-installed and insulated.

John came by personally to provide an estimate when we needed to repair some disintegrating concrete around our door - subject to leaking during rainfall -, a cracked step, and to have tuckpointing done along the side of our home. He was very knowledgeable and happy to inform me as he went about his inspection. He also told me about ways contractors would get the work done in a subpar manner with cheaper materials. He and his crew arrived within a week where most companies would not take a smaller job or tell me I would have to wait at least a month for available time. I had at last one other estimate and can say that his quote was competitive, and reasonable that also included rebuilding (not patched) a cracked step. He and his crew came early, worked the whole day and cleaned up after themselves. The tuckpointing was thorough as they ground them out so that they could use larger amount of mortar and not just do it very superficially. They rebuilt part of the step and the area around our door with structural concrete to ensure strength and longetivity. The results were tidy, sturdy and professional. No deposits, payment at the end of a job. I recommend John and his crew.

Dmitri gave us the best possible price on several doors we were replacing and did not over-sell us. The doors were efficiently installed by Mike and his colleague and although there was a mismatch with a storm door they were installing, Dmitri told us not to worry and had a replacement ordered and installed for us afterwards at no cost to us. I'll go back to them when we need to replace our windows in the spring.

I made an appointment that the company forgot about when they went to bail out another customer and it was more expensive than I expected to replace a worn-out thermopile. However, they were apologetic about the appointment and came over that afternoon as soon as they could. During their visit they were very efficient and helpfully answered any questions I had.

I hired Home Pro Exteriors for an eavestrough cleaning deal through a Groupon deal. I booked a morning-to-noon appointment. The cleaner/rep did not show up on time so I called their office who said he was running late but promised a time in the afternoon but would call an hour before arrival. I had to call their office twice when the rep blew through two of promised delayed times. The office did not even bother to call me to tell me how late the rep would be or to check up on the appointment. In fact, the Toronto office closed shop and went home before the rep showed up to the door. I called their main office but they had no way to contact the rep and no one was at the Toronto office to cancel the appointment. The rep eventually showed up 9 hours late without calling. I asked him to go home. Saving money through Groupon is one thing but not at the cost of horrible customer service. I wasted a day for about $20-30 savings. Not worth it.
