Thank you to the team at Finished Basements for making our basement a comfortable and new place to entertain and spent time in our home! From the time we met with Andrij we felt like we were in good hands. He was there throughout the entire process answering every question within minutes. We met with Igor who helped us plan out the basement and close the project. Thank you to the teams of workers that came in and worked very hard every day with professionalism and respect. Our basement was completed in less than 3 weeks! It went so fast and smooth. They work like a well oiled machine and were extremely clean. This company exceeded our expectations and we are so happy that we made the right choice! Absolutely top notch finished basement from this company. 2.5-3 weeks? Try 13 days!!! Myself and our neighbours are not only amazed at the speed with which they completed the renovation, but also the quality of the work. All the little details I usually nit pick weren't overlooked.

From the beginning with Andrij and Igor, everything was explained to us and they always asked us if they needed clarification on something. They always kept things clean and left no mess.

I cannot begin to explain how impressed I am with the company and how satisfied my family and I are with the process from beginning to end and the final result. Upon making contact through their website, our estimator Andrew was in contact with me within a couple hours. Through our first meeting and listening going over their process and pricing structure (not to mention the positive and upbeat personality that he brought) we were confident in their abilities and that they would be the right choice for our renovation. We continued to get estimates from others and we kept coming back to Finished Basements being the right choice for us.

Once we got our date booked we made a trip out to their amazing showroom and were so impressed with the "one stop shopping experience" that we embarked upon. The fact that we could select everything there and not have to run around to home improvement or specialty stores figuring out what we wanted made the experience that much more enjoyable. Their selection of products are very high quality with lots of finishing options which could be a bit overwhelming (in a good way). Natalie (Design Consultant) was a huge help in giving us direction in colours, finishes and design suggestions that really helped us to solidify our decisions and know that we were in good hands.

Just prior the build, the owner Igor came to our house help with layout suggestions and in helped us to make some changes to what we thought we wanted for layout. His experience and expertise was truly evident and we are so happy with the result of changes that he suggested. On day one of the build, the crew arrived on time and with all of the building material in tow. They started right away after a brief conversation and amazingly were completed the framing process before the end of day one. Day 2 the electricians were on site and completed all of the rough in. Day 3 the plumbers were on site to complete all of the plumbing rough in. By the end of the first week of work, our basement was fully drywalled, mudded, taped, primed and painted. In week 2, the subfloor, flooring, trim, doors, finished electrical and finished plumbing we are completed to bring our project to a close in 2 weeks to the day.

As someone who works in the construction industry, I had some doubts with regards to quality and processes when we were told the project could be completed in 2 weeks. I was certainly proven wrong and they more than proved their abilities. When the crew every single day consisted of a minimum of 5 guys to a max of 7 guys (all of which worked extremely hard for sometimes 12 hour days) I figured out quickly how they could perform in such a short period of time with such attention to detail and quality finished product.

I can not recommend this company enough and I have already made many recommendations to my friends and family. We are very happy with the end result and look forward to many years of enjoying this new space as a family.

After 18 years of using the basement as an unfinished storage unit, we decided to make it a functional living space. With the number of contractors out there and the associated horror stories, we were very cautious in the selection process. We obtained many estimates and spoke to a lot of organizations. This in itself took us many months and while there was no guarantee that we were making the right choice, we opted to move forward with Finishbasement.ca.

I can emphatically say that we made the right choice! From a timing
perspective, they were bang on in their estimate of 3 weeks. Even the final costs, which were painfully detailed out and explained, were almost identical to the originally quote. From day one, they communicated on a daily basis providing a heads up on work to be expected and completed
and the individuals in charge. In respect to the staff, all I can say is that they were terrific....extremely kind and very professional always
providing suggestions and seeking feedback. They take great pride in their work and what I would consider perfectionists. As an example, one of the walls was slightly dented in (almost unnoticeable) as they moved the large treadmill to another spot. Without even mentioning it to them, they had it completely refinished the next day.

Thank you to Igor, Andrij, Natalie, Uri, Vitaly, Vlad and finally to Alex.....who stayed till very late hours (on a weekend) to complete the taping and mudding.

My kids absolutely love the final product and my wife is ecstatic.....now we need to upgrade the rest of the house to match the basement!

Long overdue review ! Got our basement done Summer 2018..

We searched extensively for a basement contractor and interviewed 3 companies. One was the bird people company, a local contracting small time company and 3rd were Finished basements.ca guys.. right from the get go we knew which ones to chose. Bird people Salesy, wanting to book a 3 hour sales appointment which we barely were able to sit through.. quoted highest price anyways and upselling all along.. quoted long time to finish the basement. small time contractor not surprisingly quoted the least but wanted 3-4 months to finish, did not want to give references and wanted advance to work.

Called in to Finishedbasements, their office was close to my work so thought will give them a chance.. not sure who I spoke with but they booked a sales person visit. Joe came in, extremely professional and courteous, meant business but also was professional. Rough pricing estimate was good and we wanted to take some time to decide and not rush through a decision. We did some more research online and here one on homestars and thought these reviews are too good to be true so asked for a couple references.. Spoke with people who gave the guys 10/10 ! So we signed up with Finishedbasement guys.. All UPHILL from there on.. IGOR is a master in his craft ! He came in and in a couple of hours gave us multiple options on our kinda odd shaped basement.. next day crew was in, 5-6 people, all great guys.. thoroughly professional and in 10 days we had our basement ready ! Even Electrical guys were great.. Andre came in and helped us.. no upselling on the number of points or anything... Natalie in office was great, and helped us chose the best color and other design options, Vitaly was great and went above and beyond for our request.

Bottom line, These guys have this worked out like a science and I cannot imagine going anywhere else if I need to do another basement. You might end up paying more 5-10 % than an unlicensed unregistered company (but still much less than other 'professional' companies) but you will be proud of the work done.

We interviewed a few contractors prior to Receiving a quote from finished basements, by the end of our appointment We were sold! The process was so streamlined. From the knowledge, the attitude, the attention to detail, professionalism, transparency and accuracy of the quote I was blown away! Renovations can be a stressful and emotional experience however the finished basements team know this and lead their business with care; it is truly felt through every person at every interaction. and especially the crew who were always on time, clean, professional and attentive. Small issues were dealt with right away and without a fuss. We chose to go with our own fixtures purchased elsewhere and even when there was an issue with the toilet they arranged to have the plumber come back for a small fee (the manufacturers issue) and uninstall and reinstall a new one ASAP! The project was in budget on time and the quality of the work is excellent! We are extremely happy with the outcome and wish we could hire them to remodel the rest of our home when it comes time. Where should I begin. We were actively looking for company to completely finish our basement and were literally about to sign with a competitor when I decided to go back to Andrij, who gave us a professional quote. Him and Vitaly came through on pricing and timing and we signed and from that point on we were blown away by the customer service, attention to detail, professionalism, family-oriented feel to the experience and an overall view that, above all else, Igor and Vitaly (owners) were not going to walk away unless we were 110% completely satisfied. This included making changes as the work was being completed, coming back to fix minor discrepancies, being available at all hours of the day for questions (I don't know when Andrij sleeps as he is so responsive!) and treating our home as if it was the only project that mattered. The experience of the company shows in their suggestions and tips as they have seen so many layouts that trusting their expertise made our lives easier. There were so many memorable contributors - Igor (owner, designer of basement layout and one of the kindest people you will ever meet), Yuri (plumber), Igor (electrician), Vladamir (framing), Natalie (interior design, she has an amazing eye for what works), Vitaly (owner and professional decision maker), Vitaly (painting and finishing and flooring), Alex (taping and drywall finishing), Roman (tile and painting) and all of the various crew members (I am sorry I can't remember everyone's name). This company has the 'happiness of the customer' formula figured out and we would highly recommend not looking further if you want your basement finished. You will not be disappointed. We love our basement. There isn't a day that goes by that our family isn't downstairs enjoying it. Thank you!

If you are considering finishing your basement and are looking at options, look no further. We recently decided to finish our basement and looked at a number of options through referrals, Homestars and even other popular names we had heard off. After having a number of companies come by for a quote, we were happy that we called on Finished Basement. From the point that Andrij came by to give us a quote and a vision of what our basement could be, to having Nick , Archie and the team show up always on time and complete a full days work , to visiting their showroom with Natalie to pick our colours and finshies... it was a great experience all around. This is a team who has obviously been doing this for a long time, know what they are doing and always keep a clean job site.

Also, the other trades who work along with Finished Basement were good to work with. From their electrician (Igor and team), plumber and their relationship with Richard at Pure CI , who sets up the entertainment system. All are reflective of the the professionalism of Finished Basement overall.

Lastly having the owner , Igor, come by and visit twice at the beginning and end of the project was also a nice touch and gave us even more ideas of what we could do. It’s not that we did not have things come up during the process., we did, but they handled it immediately and professionally.

The best part, and I know this might be out there, is they over delivered. They said they could have the job done in 3 weeks , but after hard work by the team they completed it in less than 2 weeks!! The basement looks great. As I said at the beginning... look no further... well that is if you want a great job and done on time.

I would have no issues referring Finished Basement. Actually, I already have to close friends of ours. Just give them a call and you will not be disappointed.
