Lexon Construction

This is the second time I have engaged Lexcon Construction’s services. The first time was for an extensive deck project surrounding my swimming pool at my private residence. The result was outstanding and I have the pictures to prove it!

More recently, Lexcon completed a COMPLETE gut job of a basement apartment at one of my investment properties. When I say complete gut, I mean complete.

We took a basement bachelor with very low ceilings and turned it into a brand new 1 bedroom apartment compete with washer and dryer.

I’m not going to say there weren’t a few issues, but none that could have been anticipated. The floor was torn up only to find that the original concrete had deteriorated almost to sand. That was a large unexpected expense, but Jason Amato of Lexcon had access to the right trades to get it done for almost half the market rate and they did a great job.

Jason actually saved me money everywhere he could by sourcing superior materials through is long list of trusted suppliers.

All of the other issues were time and attendance related. This work was done over the Christmas holidays and what can I say, guys take time off. If a contractor says his crew is there on time, everytime, they’re dishonest! It’s the nature of the industry and I expected it.

What I also expected was an accurate quote and quality work. I got both in spades from Jason at Lexcon. I expected honesty, integrity and responsiveness. Check, check and check!

Jason’s quality work and design allowed me to increase the rent on this particular apartment by over 30%!

I highly recommend Jason Amato and Lexcon for all of your renovation and construction needs. I put my money where my mouth is, unlike others that have left reviews. The project from start to finish was a complete mess. It was improperly managed, poorly executed and made worse by too many people having a hand in the work. By the end, the doors were left mangled, casings gouged beyond repair, and door frames that were supposedly squared by using scrap pieces of dry wall. To add insult to injury, the crew skipped off with our money without completing the job. That doesn't even touch on the shoddy workmanship of our coffered ceiling. All and all, we'd recommend you stay away from Lexon Construction if you care at all about getting your job done right!
