Fire-place repair charges excessive
We had a pilot light problem. We were told the gas was blocked at the pilot light from corrosion. We were advised the the whole unit head had to be replaced

The whole job took about 1 hour and the charge was $610.We agreed to have the job done in ignorance, not knowing how simple the replacement would take. We recieved a reciept with no breakdown of the parts and labour. When I called the company and complained the only resolution
offered was to come and remove the parts. That was a ridiculous and
unaceptable solution. The person I spoke to became very defensive and in my view abusive. I explained that I wanted to come to a reasonable solution and remain confident in the companys ethics. I requested a break down of the charges and told the person I would be writing this review.
We are retirees and cannot afford to be used this way. We believe this
price is excessive given the time required and the lack of explanation in advance.
