We lost hot water and tried unsuccessfully to start the pilot light again. After diagnosing the problem and assessing the tank it was explained to us that even if the failed part was replaced the tank was on borrowed time (not surprisingly). We opted to replace the tank and it was done in the same visit. The time we noticed the problem to the tank being replaced was only about a day and a half which is so impressive. The work probably could have been done cheaper if we did it ourselves but it was done well and with quality parts and in a very timely manner so I feel it was worth the price. The plumber was polite, friendly and up from about the cost and our options.
